Well, our 1st top 25 team went down tonight, as Troy defeated Mizzou 24-14.

Brad Smith proved me right tonight in my assessment of him being Mr. Hype. Props to Troy for sticking it out and keeping their heads up when down 14-0, and battling back to win this one.

Here's to the pre-season Big XII North favorite--it was a nice run.

Yep now anyone that wondered where my loyalty was understands why I said I'm not going to brag or hype Missouri until they prove to me they can win on the field.

I said Missouri was, IMO, the most overrated team when the polls came out. I STILL expected them to beat the artists formerly known as Troy State... :gus:

Saul it was a ugly game after the first quarter and I knew Missouri wasn't going to win the North or do anything special. That being said watching Kstate last week I wouldn't laugh to hard just yet. There is a real chance that Colorado or Nebraska ends the year winning the big 12 north while Missouri -AND- Kansas State both flop.

the Big 12 North is a friggin' joke and whoever wins, Texas or Oklahoma (read Oklahoma) in the south is going to wipe up the Big 12 North winner

KState is a year away
Nebraska...c'mon
MO---lost to the men of Troy
CU---troubles

sad, sad, sad

That Ware kid was a animal on defense for Troy though. I bet he makes the NFL.

I heard this all last year....

Last year there wasn't QB questions. Last year KSU dominated the early cupcake games.

This week against Fresno State should tell us a lot about KSU. They better come ready to play because if they play like they did last week they get beat.

In the end who ever comes out of the North will just be eaten up by Oklahoma.

You're right. Their weren't QB questions last year. Their aren't QB questions this year. We are more worried about our LB's and O-line. KSU did NOT dominate the cupcake games last year. We actually looked very flat on offense, and didn't play well on defense. We got beat by Marshall. KSU traditionally starts out the season slow, something I don't like, but its something that just "happens". If we beat FSU tommorow we will be in good shape. If we get beat, we are still in good shape.

Again, I heard the exact same thing last year. OU was a mini-nfl team. OU was the best college team anyone has ever seen. OU will just destroy the north winner. Sorry, but as of right now, OU looks weaker then they did last year.

I couldn't agree with you more. We'll find out how talented K-State is this week because the coaches and the players will be psyched for this game. Last week, they basically sleptwalked through the game, but there is no way they can do that this week and expect to win. We do have QB questions. Right now, Dylan Meier is the starter. However, if he has a bad game, then a QB change is certainly possible. I still think K-State will cover the 14 point spread, but I'm more nervous about this game than the Broncos-Chiefs game.
