"I'm sick and tired of re-fighting the Vietnam War. And most importantly, I'm sick and tired of opening the wounds of the Vietnam War, which I've spent the last 30 years trying to heal," McCain told USA Today. "It's offensive to me, and it's angering to me that we're doing this. It's time to move on."
I couldn't agree more. I will henceforth refuse to post on any more discussions about Vietnam. Like John says, "It's time to move on."

I totally agree
now all we need is Kerry to not wrap his self around his 'Nam service in order to try and legitamize his ability to lead the nation and we got a deal.

Yeah Yeah Yeah. That's why LABF was talking bout McCains indignation and why he's going to speak at the Convention. The way Dumbocrat is ranting, you would think McCain was going to strafe Bush.
It's not going to happen. Sorry.

There's just one problem with your "reasoning."
Kerry is a genuine war hero who, in fact, did serve in Viet Nam while the mental midget you're backing is a buffoon/media creation/cartoon character who parades around in a flight suit, erroneously declaring "mission accomplished," while he never actually saw combat and, in fact, deserted from his champagne ANG unit during wartime.
AWOL Boy decided early on that he was going to base his bid for "re"-election on his (alleged) image as a "war president" who is "tough" on terror, can best protect the country, knows more about national security than the challenger etc.
Now the wingnuts are crying because Kerry called Commander Chickenhawk's bluff and because, in the comparison test, Kerry's service exposes their boy as a fraud.

Has anyone ever heard the term "Hysterical Biatch".

It's going to be pretty funny when you have your foot in your ass when a Democrat opens the Convention and McCain makes the Keynote Speech.

Kerry joined an inactive naval reserve unit that happened to get called up, Bush the air national guard. Kerry proved to the men around him that he did not have the character to be trusted in battle, that he had another agenda(that he dispalyed there and when he returned and they got him out of there. Coupled with his record in the senate and his failure to present any notable positions on anything He is; Unfit for Command"

Kerry joined an inactive naval reserve unit that happened to get called up..
Doesn't matter. The bottom line is that Kerry went to Viet Nam, proved himself in combat, and was decorated accordingly while Deserter Boy avoided Viet Nam altogether and went AWOL from the cushy ANG his father and Lt. Governor Barnes pulled strings to get him into.
Kerry proved to the men around him that he did not have the character to be trusted in battle...
I guess you believe that if you repeat this lie often enough it will somehow become truth.
The men who made these claims have been discredited and have all turned out to be liars and shills for Deserter Boy and the GOP. You're behind the curve.

Only a chickenhawk who has never served would say something like this.
