Looks like the forecast (long range) is calling for snow the weekend of the Faid game.That will make the drive over Monument hill interesting for you.

monument is one thing, but raton pass is what always concerns me.

its such a steep grade that it often closes.

as of now, saturday night and wednesday night arennt scheduled for HEAVY snow, but ill keep an eye on the forecast.
heavy snow around the passes makes a 7 hour trip 12.

as for sunday, i'd love to have the team in orange AND have snow on national television.
come tuesday at work ill be the walking dead, but a win will make it all worth it!!

We went thru quiet a bit of the stuff in Canton. ;D Im pretty sure all the firework places are closed for the season now here in Denver. If anyone is road tripping here and sees a road side firework store buy orange smoke!


Oh and some other tailgating news.

I just secured a 120lb swine named "Al" to BBQ this sunday. Al will take about 13 hours to cook so I'll be lighting him on fire at around midnight on Saturday.

I'm picking up the pig the pig around noon on Saturday then we'll spend some time getting things ready for the gathering on Sunday.

If any of you travelers want to come on by Saturday you are more than welcome. We can always use an extra pair of hands around but don't worry we'll feed you and give you some brews for your efforts.

I figure we'll start mobilizing late in the afternoon and if we get done it good time we can go cruising in the bus.

We'll be set up in Lot C-rv space #31. Don't look for the RV though. We have a bus now. www.orangeforceone.com

Basically we are directly south of the stadium and directly west of the Broncos Barn where all the RVs park.

The lot opens at 11:00am but we are going to see if we can sneak in early. We'll have a plenty of food and beer so just bring yourselves. If you don't eat BBQ pork though you may want to consider bringing something. We won't be serving up too much vegitarian stuff either. I know you Ft. Collins types. Oh wait that's the Boulder folks who don't eat meat. Nevermind. :pity:



Oh one last thing. Only thing you have to do is wear some ORANGE. If you aren't wearing orange we will paint you Orange.

Hey, can't complain. Busy, I'll tell you that.
Been cheering hard for this team, but that midseason piss-poor-play thing tears at my heart every year. You think they're going to be 13-3, 14-2 and then ... well, then they just suck so bad at Cincy. What can you do?
This game is a treat for myself. Been to three games for work this year (K.C., San Diego and Houston), but I want to cheer and drink and eat. They frown on that in the press box -- except for the eating thing. So I got three nosebleed seats off eBay.
I'm bringing a couple buddies down. One if a lifelong Broncos fan and the other a Vikings fan, but we'll dress him in orange for this game. I've already told him that for a night, he must root his ass off for the Broncos. After all, it's Raiders week.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Well, the drive back was definately better than the drive there. The game didn't turn out as I would have liked, but it was good meeting a bunch more of O-Maners at the tailgate. TGN, thanks for the hot buttered rum at the other tailgate party as well. It helped warm me up for the game. Meck, great job with Al!

First of all, Meck and everyone affiliated with "THE BUS" thanks for the hospitality for some of us "out of towners" that just cant bring our tailgatting bbqs and such on the plane. Yeah, I'm still pretty bitter about the whole ordeal. Not more than 5 minutes after I left the voice message I was told to pack up my stuff...I haven't spoken to the sister yet since Saturday...it's been great. But, I have a feeling we'd still be trying to get home. There was a bunch of snow dumped in Kansas and northern Oklahoma since Sunday.

You'll be getting notified when I buy my ticket to Cali. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I will be coming out there.

I noticed that. I got into Denver about 2:30 or 2:45 and the lot was pretty much empty except for OF1 and crew. I was pi$$ed cuz I was getting there so late because I knew the crew would be up and going early.

The tailgate starting to swing into full gear. At this point, the turnout was a bit on the shallow side due to the weather but we had a steady stream of over 40 people in and out of the bus 2 hours before gametime

Yep, they're sitting with my earrings - it was way too cold to be sporting them this weekend...

Did you know that if you wear earrings in the cold, you actually get colder than if you don't?
