Photo Question.

I don't think I did anything, but now when I try to save a picture it comes up "untitled" and Bitmap or Bmp. which is worthless to upload.

I was messing with the FF logo the other day, but I didn't really change any settings. Then I noticed it wouldn't upload as a bmp, but all my photos have generally been gifs. Now if I right click on a smiley, it still could be saved as a gif, and I can still scroll properties and paste them, and I can save bmp's fine, but it's not right, and can't be uploaded. I am at a loss what I did. :redbutt:

Also, I can take something like the smilie and decide if I want gif, (which the puter selects) or bmp, but now pictures I want to save go bmp and don't even give an option. I have never run into it before. Any help would be helpful before I ask the geek on the hill.

Mock - that happens to me sometimes too and I have no idea why.

I usually just save the bitmap and then convert it to jpeg in Paint.

.....then I go delete the big, stupid bitmap file.

It has somthing to do with a Windows update , I cant remember what one though ...

Bitmap files are big, but they are the highest quality too.

This problem has never happened to me. I dont know what to tell ya.

I had that very same problem here awhile back........and what I was told to is is this...........

When saving a pic there is the little drop menu area that says what is is....jpg/bitmap/gif or whatever........click the arrow and it should allow you the option of saving it as a jpg file.

It should just set it for jpeg. like it used to. Some still goes jpeg.

get photoshop. v 5.0 or higher, you can do it all yourself.
