View Full Version : If not your favorite team, then who?

Simple question: If your favorite team was non-existent, which team would be your favorite?

If I was not an Ohio State Buckeyes fan, I'd have to go with Tennessee Volunteers. No real reason, just like the atmosphere there, have some ties with Tennessee and just a good team to root for.

Hawaii, my 2nd favorite.

Missouri Tigers are my second favorite team after Michigan. Their football program is finally getting better (too bad their basketball program is going downhill).

Oklahoma..... I know that sounds weird coming from a Husker fan, but I've always had alot of respect for them.....

I queue up Tennessee and Air Force as my second choices. Go Zoomies!

Miami is my school. If it were non-existent then Colorado would be my number 1 and Air Force number 2. I grew up going to Buffalo games in Boulder and Falcon games in Colorado Springs. Ralphie rules! So does Folsom Field.

DF, so Tennessee comes ahead of Marshall?

If not NC State it would be LSU because I have a few friends there...

Yep, I like the Vols more.

Marshall is the team I follow just because I get to watch them every single saturday here locally. Not technically but FSN here plays the "MAC game of the week" and at least 8 Marshall games are shown as the GOTW since they're the best team in the MAC and the team that will get the most ratings.

I like WVU alos just cause I have a cousin that goes there, and my cousin last year went there as well(got to be friends with Quincy Wilson even!). So I root for them for my cousin basically, but I'd be riding high in Rocky Top if it weren't for OSU.

Just think SoCal, we have something in common with Miami and Tennessee, we hate the Florida Gators guts!!!

Miami of Ohio. I live close to Oxford and have some ties to the school. (Wife and Brother went there)

If Fresno St...(your time to start laughing) werent my favorite team...I'd probably have to root for USC...went to 4 games last year, and had a blast every time...ladies everywhere...its sick!

Yeah...its going to be very very tough to fly to K-State and play them on their field...should be an interesting matchup...Pat Hill is the man...He's really turn this program around...he has the whole Central Valley (in California) pumped up...He schedules great opponents...They were actually scheduled to play USC this year too but, BYU screw us over because they had to change a date of one of their games in order to play USC the week they were supposed to play Fresno St...Bulldogs got screwed...

I saw Fresno State has to play Washington before we get a crack at the Bulldogs. That's pretty brutal to start out the season.

BTW, if K-State didn't exist, I would be a Notre Dame fan. I was real close to going there for college.

yeah...those 2 games are their biggest and toughest games of the season, out of the confrence...Boise St. has owned us since Carr was drafted...

Hmmm, I guess Okie State would have have to be the backup school for CU. I did attend there until they suggested I stop wasting my money.

I'm still ticked that the KSU-Fresno State game won't be televised locally. I'll be at the game, so it's no problem for me. However, the people responsible for the Big 12 television package obviously don't watch much college football outside of the Big 12. I think that game has the potential for being very close and entertaining.

Probably Colorado State. I know that that's sacrelige to most Buffs fans, but if you can't respect the job that Sonny's done with that program, something's wrong with you.

If is wasn't CU it would probably be Air Force or Wyoming, (yea I know they suck but I still like them) Of course my real 2nd favorite team is a tie between who ever is playing Notre Dame and who ever is playing Nebraska.

Who ever is playing Notre Dame. Then whoever is playing Nebraska

Seriously, I have been attended games in 70+ stadiums over the years. AFA is a great place to see a game, but its almost any SEC team hands down when it comes to fan excitement. The Big House at Michigan is like a morgue compared to TN. You can't beat the fun at the Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Night games at LSU where the crowd has been drinking hurricanes since noon.

I was in Fresno this past weekend...and most all my friends were hyped up to play a team of caliber like K-St and (Sproles)...They did say though that the game would be televised in their area...I dont think that Fresno St. stands a chance but, it is always good to see how your team fares against one of the better teams in the nation...

Other my baisness towards OSU's stadium, Neyland is by far the best stadium I've been to. Just another reason why they would be my team if not for OSU, Neyland Stadium is just beautiful and the Vols fans are crazy, great place to watch a game.

The Big House, from what I've heard, gets all the props just because it has the most people in attendence, and while it is a damn hard place to play at, if other stadiums had that many seats in it, they'd dwarf U of M in noise.

My fav team is Iowa and Florida.

After that I like any of these

Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State or Texas.

Just one time in my life I want to go to the Big House when they play OSU. I think for a Michigan fan that would be the ultimate Sports experience.

When you went to the Big House who did they play?

I have been there about ten times. Three times to see Michigan State when they were pretty good. Have seen OSU there twice.

The trouble with UM is that the fans are not football fans. It's like CU where everyone sits in the stands and talks to their old friends and ignores the game until critical points

If not Nebraska, then Texas A&M. My dad was a cornhead who successfully brainwashed me, but I've also always been fond of the Aggies many traditions and loyal fans.
I remember going to an NU-A&M game in Lincoln where the Huskers beat the Aggies by around 30, but the visiting fans stayed, stood, and chanted until even after the game. I can't think of another fan base like that.
