Earlier today we had the big story on the Halo 2 Secret Message. Many forums around the net are going crazy off this news and we may have come across what that countdown just might mean. If you count the number of days according to the countdown, it brings us to August 24th. So what is so special about August 24th then? Well check out the cover for next month's Official Xbox Magazine Special Preview Guide. The image will be stretched but you can sure enough read it and start to piece together what all this hoopla is about:

The tag in the middle is hard to read in this picture but it says "Do Not Open Until August 24th!". That looks like a sure sign that the Official Xbox Magazine is going to have an exclusive Halo 2 demo. The only thing that remains now is what's on the demo? Well Bungie made it clear months ago that they would not release a demo because they did not want to give away any part of the story. So now comes my take as to what I believe this possible (remember, this is pure speculation at this point) demo may be.

During E3, a select number of gaming journalists got the chance to sit down and play a multiplayer aspect of Halo 2. Tim Grube and I were priveledged enough to take part in this wonderful event. The level we played on was the much talked about beach front that has been discussed in almost every gaming media today. I have a feeling that next month's Official Xbox Magazine will include a demo build of what we played. Furthermore, I believe that all the hype we have been seeing that relates to the ilovebees.com website results into the following.......the demo will be for Xbox Live play and will give gamers the first chance to test drive Halo 2 on Xbox Live!

It all makes sense, once gamers play this level over and over again, they will have the taste of blood on their mouths and be forced to buy it the second it hits store shelves. Plus, it in no way gives away any piece of the storyline.

Well, that's just one gaming journalist's take on the crazy Halo 2 events that have transpired over the last few days. So if I'm right, how many out there think the next issue of the Official Xbox Magazine will be the best selling one ever? Yeah, it's a no brainer and you can bet your Xbox that I'll be hitting every magazine store in the area until I get my hands on one!

Im telling you Zach, Halo 1 was worth the price of my Box and the game itself and all the controllers I bought to play it multiplayer. I got that much use out of it.

Ya, I have spent many upon many hours playing multiplayer Halo with my buddies but never had the XBOX myself. He had some thing where he hooked it through his internet and we would play other teams online.

Capture The Flag in Blood Gulch...

It doesn't get any better...

I can't wait to play the XBOX Live equipped Halo 2.

I absolutely hated the single player part of Halo 1, but the multi-player owned everybody and everything... I will purchase Halo2 just for multiplayer/on-line play

I thought the single player part was ok, I didn't play it a whole lot. Doing Co-Op was kind of fun.

But the multiplyer as you said is so great.

You need to put the timer clock up on your siggy for the big 21 Zach...

WHAT?????? Man, the single player was great. Play on Legendary. Covenant just comes out of the woodwork. And the Elites never miss a shot. Reminds me of my first time of play M.Bison on level 7 difficulty. (Me and my buddies use to say about tough tests and stuff "Man, this is harder than M.Bison level 7.") I loved the singleplayer. It did get tedious after awhile, and the ending sure did suck. But I still spent hours upon hours playing.

For sure. I'm gunna be a junior in the fall, and I just got a house with 2 buddies... And well, besides the craziness of being out of the dorms, being able to party, etc... There's going to be viscious Halo2 battles... Oh dear, I can already see this being bad.

What I like about Halo is that it isn't to fast...there are a lot of great multiplayer games out there but everything seems frantic and almost stupid, you know where im coming from.

I agree. I remember when Goldeneye came out, and Halo has been like the second coming of that... I really think it's the perfect multiplayer game (aside from sports games) that has endless replay value.
