Greetings from Tucson,

here are some pics of Meck77's ultimate tailgate party bus being built in Tucson. For those who dont know, Meck77, tailgate coordinator of www.orangemane.com has purchased a retired Greyhound Diesel Coach which we are converting into a party bus for all the bronco fans from the Mane. Sattelite flatscreens, crazy audio, bar and slide-out BBQ are just some of the features. Here are a few pics of the framing/plumbing/interior. Check back soon for more pics. Peace.

Kick ass, that's bad dude!

Seriously thinking of flying out to Denver this year with the wife to attend a home game. Meck almost has me convinced and these pics may just put me over the edge to commitment.

Looking nice so far!

Damn fine bus!! Looks like it should even make John Madden envious when it's completed. Just one question. What's with the "Dale :moody: Carter" card in the collage?? Ex-Bronco or no, that guy is just BAD KARMA and should be removed immediately before the bus explodes.

Otherwise, keep up the great work. I am in awe :notworthy

Only 6 easy payments of $1167

7500 Watts? Good lord, that Bus is going to be hopping off it's wheels. I imagine they will stow it below and it will be quiet as a mouse. I had no clue you were going to guys were going this far. I figured it would be a traveling keg and puke bucket with contact paper on the walls. Kinda like the Animal House.

And that inverter and grill. I doubt you guys can get the interior finished out, but god the wiring and everything is astounding.

Mock I'm personally offended. I've known the guys working on the OrangeForceOne since 3rd grade. I would trust these guys with my first born son.

It will be done.

Yeah we could have built a puke bucket but we are Broncos fans. Nothing but first class for the OrangeMane!!!!!!!!! :militia:

I think we could power up 3 other tailgates with that unit!

I opted for the Onan so we could meet the noise restrictions of the national parks. You see you can't have some piece of junk raising hell in yellowstone or rocky mountain national park for instance. I want to take this baby fishing and hunting and be able to post on the Mane so we need to be vewy vewy quiet while in the woods.

If we were Chief fans we would have just gutted the thing and painted it red. But we aren't. ^5 Thank God.

Yep, Mecks goin all out on this one. If you consider that we will be running one 31" Flatscreen, one 18 " flatscreen, one 7" flatscreen, A regular tube TV for the outside, 4 amps, 4 10" Infinity Subs, 6 Polk components, 2 pioneer wakeboard boat speakers, Pioneer head unit, Dell computer w/15" Flat panel monitor, A back up camera w/night vision, 2 15,000 BTU AC/Heat pumps, microwave, blender, interior/exterior lights, PS2 and X box, VCR/DVD, mobile sattelite TV Internet gear, Back-up Direct TV dish and receiver, 2 web cams, 2 alarms and a whole bunch of other crap the Onan/Xantrex set up was the only choice :)

Mock, Its crunch time here in tucson, I say you hit up Meck for a ticket down here to help... Id bet the bus he'd say OK....

By the way, all of us here in Tucson welcome this crazy project and are doing everything possible to make Meck's vision of joining the Mane with the "brick-and-mortar" world a reality. I have known Meck for way too long and he is the only person capable of convincing me and my team to drop everything ad concentrate on Orange Force One. You are all a part of this crazy internet project and we look forward to all replies fron the www.orangemane.com (thanks Taco!) Check this thread often as we are progressing...

While your at it, why not put the 2.5 on a swivel base. Like a number 1 or number 2 position?

And I like those air purifiers, not that stuff that masks odors. I saw more plumbing back there than a small intestine. WTF is that?

Meck, everyone needs their Windmill. Don Quiote would be proud. Maybe Ponce DeLeon. Or both. Still the swiveling POV dumpster would be unique since you seem intent on overdoing it. And install a web cam for a good laugh.

It just tilts back and forth. That alone would make USA Today. Im laughing too hard at this point. But you could swivel the TV screen from the roof.

Let's give them more engineering challenges.

OK, come tucson, submit a bid and we will have SAT/TV in the shiatter....Just kidding, the 7" is on a swivel, the 2.5 will be built into the wall above the urinal but we have wiring to put in a toilet cam to watch Mock pinch one... Votes? hmmm...

Believe it or not, all of us here in Tucson are involved in "Windmiills" Check www.windenergy.com or southwestwindpower.com. Yes Meck, you do need a "windmill" This whole bus project is all about providing mobile power to the internet community, hence the crazy GenSet and inverter. When "Red Dawn" comes the Mane all of us will be pissin' in the radiator..... Peace..

Ok, I'm unveiling Orange Force 2 tomorrow around game time. What she lacks in size she makes up for in portability....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/netizen/Bronco%20Avs/OrangeForce2.jpg

I'm going to take her for her first bb spin (beers/babes/bigscreen tailgater) tommorrow down at the local sports bar. Hopefully the bartender won't give me too much flack parking her between the can of olives and Sam's beer tap. I may have to change the tires to account for the highly polished oak surface. One spilled shot and I could easily go off the edge into the ice bin.

I've also engineered a screen room out of beer coasters and tooth picks and the below storage keeps my keys safe (when I fall off the bar stool and pass out).

One fly in the ointment however. Every time I try and use it's urinal it overflows big time. It's not a pretty sight...what-up wit dat? I'll just have to use Mecks this year if he don't mind.

Mecks super rig really looks to be one sweet ride in the making. way to go guys. You should all be commended!

I'm a firm believer in living every day as if it were your last. I'm not going to wait until I'm 65 years old to buy a house on wheels like they all do. It's time to hit the MileHigh pavement of life this season and every season there after!

I've been accused by quiet a few people of not dealing with a full deck sometimes. Heck many people accused me of that when I negotiated Eye Patch's exit out of the Orangemane. Isn't that right SSJ? rofl

Besides I am a real estate agent and love the business but I also love Broncos football. Let me rephrase that. Broncos football and football in general pumps thru my veins. When Taco appointed me Tailgate Coordinator my wheels started turning. They already had been. We had been struggling with getting food and gear to the stadium for years. It was always a hastle. The bus will serve in many capacities. On Sundays or Monday nights it will be HQ for the Orangemane. The other days it will serve as a mobile real estate office for myself, my partner, and Future Mrs. Portis (our assistant). You see some agents choose big Buicks to drive their clients around in.

Our vehicle of choice just happens to be a 40 foot Tailgate Vehicle/Mobile Real Estate office/ Sports Bar with every bell and whilstle I could possible squeeze in there in 60 days so that my clients or in this case tailgating group is comfortable.

You see we don't want our clients to miss any of their sports updates while we are out negotiating real estate. Many people go out shopping for real estate on the weekends. That just happens to be when most of the sports programming is on also. Our real estate team doesn't see why someone has to put down that beer, turn off the ball game on the TV, and get off the couch just to go out house hunting or land hunting.

In OrangeForceOne you can accomplish all of those at once while your kid is playing PS2 or XBOX and your wife is checking her email or taking a nap on the comfy couch while you can be an internet junky posting on the Mane or be sipping on your favorite beer watching an old Broncos game or whatever happens to be on Direct Tv that interests you!

Besides one of my personal specialties is land. Now when we pull up to your potential new property and you feel the need for a rib eye...... all we have to do is slide the BBQ grill out and have lunch! While you are enjoying your freshly grilled steak I can be running comparables on the land and doing the research. How many times has a real estate agent said "Well I'll have to get back to you with that information"? Well not anymore! I'll have it all at the tips of my fingers whether we are in the Eastern Plains of Colorado or a remote canyon near Estes Park!

OrangeForceOne! Who said searching for a house, a piece of land, or commercial propety has to be an upleasent experience?

OrangeForceOne......Bridging the gap between real estate and tailgating!

P.S. We will not be showing homes on Sundays during home games. :welcome: But you can come by our "office" at MileHigh for a beer and brat!

It should be worth about 100k when it's done.

It's going to be an icon for sure. I am still very amused. They are working like ferrets on it as I type. They are a month behind, but so was the invasion of Russia by the Nazis. That worked itself out.

WOW, Meck that bus looks amazing. I heard you talking about it in canton and made it a point to find it on the mane. you are really putting some dedication and hard work into be a true broncos fan. We all appreciate everything that you are bringing to the table and if you need any help with anything at all, don't hesitate to ask me. I am always down to help out a true Bronco like you. I totally agree with B-love, meck77 and OrangeForce Once are definately going to be in canton someday. I mean if some loser with arrows through a jersey, or some idiot who paints his face up and wears spikes on his shoulders can get in there, than meck77 your day is soon to come. I don't think in all my years living and breathing football and with all the games that I have ever watched that I have ever heard of a fan going to this extreme to become the ultimate tailgater in football history. I think that Joe Cahn should put you on the ballot as his running mate. Seriously, I have always wanted to get into real estate and I enjoy your take on keeping people updated with sports during thier prime thinking times (on the shiater) or cooking them a ribeye to enjoy the land. That's awesome, you can sign me up anyday. :militia: I will be there on the 12th for sure. I may have an extra ticket to the game if you know anyone who needs one. I will let everyone know later.

Look out, Chef Fan has been building his own ultimate tailgating unit specifically designed for the rigors off-roading in Denver's Canyons. This baby features 4WD, Wind and Solar Power and it's own peehole/gloryhole out the back. Would someone give it a proper photoshop paint job?

Tucson Link, I see you allready sold them on windpower! Did you guys build this thing? It's actually pretty cool the more I read about it. It's the ultimate neo-nazi/hippe-environmentalist machine. It's actually pretty cool.

Chef Fans, get on the Short Bus to Denver. :giggle:

You want to get in the real estate biz do you? We might have a position for you Fudd. I'm going to need someone to buff the chrome every week.
;D Nah just kidding Fudd. Look forward to seeing at the game!

BTW......we are getting the internet hardware installed on Saturday. We migh be able to get the webcams up and running sooner than I though. I was exploring www.KVH.com but their service is rediculously expensive. $9,000 for setup, $99 a month, and $1 minute for internet!

So let's say we had a 6 hour tailgate that would be $360.00 just for online time! The sales rep actually referred me to the best thing going for interntet service for RVs/Monster Tailgate vehciles. http://www.datastorm.com/.

I talked to a dealer who lived in Dallas who just happened to be traveling thru Tucson over the weekend! We cut the deal and he will set it all up this weekend!

This system will automatically link up to the satellite with a click of a button. OrangeForceOne and Orangemane.com bringing the live tailgate to you at home.

We'll be able to have multiple Omane hookups while at the game via the wireless network the guy is setting up. Not to mention as soon as you arrive and stand near OrangeForceOne I can take a pic of you and zap it to the Mane or your family back home to let them know you have safely arrived at the stadium. ;D

I'm startintg to think that we are going to have to start a thread on Chiefsplanet the morning of Sept 12th to give those guys some updates during the festivities. ;D

I didn't get it down to Tucson until July 1st or so? Is that right DenverTusconLink? I can't believe how much has been accomplished this fast. I'm booking a flight today to get down there. Ok Ok I've been holding back some pics from my Canton trip. If we can't laugh at ourselves what good are we? I took this pic outside of Pizza City in KC. I'm sitting there and a Blue short bus pulls up and starts dropping off little kids in Ornage T-shirts. I'm not kidding! I was in tears when I saw it. Go ahead Chief fans. Here is some ammo.

We can take it. Gotta admit Broncos fans.....It's a pretty funny scene. Little orange people popping out the Blue shortbus. rofl

Could it be a child Broncos fan day care company operating in KC?

MADDEN has to bring a turducken on the bus. MANDATORY must be done. Get the letters rolling.

I'd like to pitch in but dang dude it's almost completed. Hey. I'm looking for some moutain property in the western part of the state. I'm willing to consider Wyoming. Give me a PM. I want at least 200 acres.

Thanks for bringing back tailgating with a vengence. I would love to take a road trip in this big pig sometime. Um wait...You aren't going to Oakland are you? Really. I'll...um see you there...You do know it's still Oakland right?

Here's a shot of me infront of Pizza City. I was covering up the part that says "KC's finest" with my Broncos flag. A couple Chief fans didn't appreciate that. Plus Disco and I got some strange looks from the locals. Even had a cop say to me "Uh what's going on". I said nothing. I said "What am I going to get shot?" The cop said "I can't guarantee your safetly" He really said that!!!!

It's funny you mention Madden. We made a bunch of turkey legs at the Canton tailgate. We had them smoking when the Madden cruiser drove by. We saw John in his bus and people pointed at the BBQ. He didn't come by though. Believe it or not a freakin cheif fan and a skin fan at two of the turkey legs. I almost blew a gasket when I saw that. Ask anyone at the tailgate. I was saving those for him hoping a crew might come by at halftime or something and those scavengers were eating our turkey legs. I apologize for getting all worked up about that my fellow maners but that put me over the edge.

I'd be happy to help you out Q. We'll drive you wherever you need to go my brotha!

Oakland is on my list of away games. Aren't you in the military? We might need your skills to protect the bus while in Oakland. Good thing is we have multiple alarms and Web Cams. I'll be sure to let the fade crowd know that they are being broadcast online. ROFL!

Broncos football and football in general pumps thru my veins....

...OrangeForceOne......Bridging the gap between real estate and tailgating!

P.S. We will not be showing homes on Sundays during home games. :welcome: But you can come by our "office" at MileHigh for a beer and brat!

I'll get a pic and show ya later. Time is of the essence now. We have 14 days left! I can't believe this bus didn't even get to Tucson until after the 4th of July.

The small propane tank is there so we can cook for now until it's all hooked up to the big ass tank.

Nothing wrong with an Oilers fan. They were raped. I vaguely remember some wild card game when Warren Moon tore Denver a new asshole. We were like up big and Moon starts pulling wizards out of his ass, and we went behind. We won with an Elway comeback, but it was not one of Reeves finest hours.

Denver didn't deserve to win. The Duke pulled it out of his ass. I think this might be the year we went down in Buffalo. Not sure, checking soft drive memory...

Mock, we weren't up big. They kicked our ass for 3 quarters and were up 21-6 in the middle of the 2nd quarter.

Moon was an average playoff QB. Had some moments but they were usually in the 1st 3 quarters.

No playoff QB squandered leads like him, though the Oiler D was admittedly the big culprit.

But if Moon could have sustained 1 more drive in each of those famous playoff losses (91 Broncos, 92 Frank Reich game, 93 Chiefs), they could have won important games.

He was also the starter in some inexcusable home losses. 1989 he loses at home to the Steelers in the WC round, and with the Vikings in 94, he gets blown out at home in the 1st round by the Bears, who had NOTHING that year.

Moon was never a big game QB to me. He'll get in the HOF, but I'll give a slight eye roll when that's announced. Maybe he deserves it, I don't know?

Denvertucsonlink link just finished up the command center chair that will be co-pilot seat. This is where the brain/onboard computer system will be operated from for OrangeForceOne. Nice work DTL!

It has an orange crush patch on one side and and Old Logo on the other.

This is the chair folded down. It works as two chairs and converts to a bed/bench.

The drivers seat is on the left background.

Next year when we go back to Canton for the second anniversary party for John Elway getting in the HOF on Frank's land we will be using this 70 gallon propane tank. We could tailgate for weeks and not need to fill up.

Meck77
08-26-2004, 12:25 PM
My boy bud the propane man added a couple of extra hookups like this so we can add extra BBQs if need be. If a fellow tailgater near by runs out of propane (major sin of tailgating) they can simply attach to the mother ship to finish their meal. Or we can get 3 or more BBQs going at a time!

Things are humming along but I have a request for the Omane.

Anyone have a recommendation to a good quality painter in Denver who wants to paint this baby straight orange above the stainless/aluminum? Being that the bus is not mobile with her guts hanging out we will have to have it painted in Denver right after the KC game.

I want this thing ready for the next home game. The timing of this is crucial and I need to get on it now. I'm not looking for someone who thinks they can paint a bus. I'm looking for one of the best painters in Denver who know they can paint this bus up right!

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd prefer Denver just for the sake of time by as long as it get's done and is top quality I don't mind doing some driving. Except for the fact that we almost got hit with a flying vehicle when Disco and drove it to Tucson on it's maiden voyage. That happened just outside of the Springs and we dodge a torpedo. I honstly don't know how and neither did the wintenesses at the seen as the other car ran off the road, crossed the highway, and corkscrewed into our land landing infront of us as we locking up the breaks to avoide it. We passed the other vehicle at atleast 30mph or more thru the debris cloud.

Anyhow.......got on a tangent.......

We will have 13 days from the time the KC game ends to the next home game which is.....uh.....San Diego........The Bus will be pure Broncos Orange (as it should) everywhere that there is another color of paint on the exterior. We are buffing the aluminum and steal though. She will shine!

It has in fact grown quite a bit, as all of the area around Denver. It still has quite a bit of Farmland, but if you're looking to buy, it's not at farmland prices anymore.

All Orange force 1 Needs is a dummy dressed up in a Raider / Or Chief Uni stuck in the Grill like he was ran over by a bus .......... Hilarious!

How about Zack? He said he would try to stop by (see thread below).

Longmont sucks

My hometown, and I would have to agree that I don't like visiting the folks down there anymore.

Meck, can't wait for Sunday. I like Spider's idea of a Chief or Raider stuck to the grill of OF1...
