This is still unconfirmed and the sources shaky but, if it's true...

These are not nuclear weapons. They are atomic snow cone makers. Regular snow cone makers do not work in Iraq because of the American infidels.

LOL i had totally forgot about that dude. sort of miss him. gotta give him points for at least trying to do his job.
on a serious note, this looks like it could be huge. apparently buried under 6 meters of concrete safe from radiation detectors? and people wonder why these babies are hard to find.
too soon to jump to conclusions tho, let's wait and see how this story develops. if this turns out to be true, i can already see the response from some on the left, that either the WMDs were planted there by karl rove or don't even exist or some other wack theory.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (Reuters) - Iraq's Interior Ministry dismissed as "stupid" a report in a local newspaper Wednesday that said three nuclear missiles had been found near Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit.
A senior U.S. military official told reporters he had no information on the report in the Iraqi newspaper al-Sabah. He said officials were checking the report.
Asked by Reuters about the report, a spokesman at the Interior Ministry said: "It's stupid."
The report, picked up the United Press International news agency, sent the U.S. dollar higher against other major currencies on the foreign exchanges.
Al-Sabah opened last year with backing from the former U.S.-led administration in Iraq.
The United States and Britain launched last year's invasion of Iraq over accusations that Saddam had stockpiled weapons of mass destruction. But no stockpiles of banned weapons have been found.

OTOH, they did manage to find Mr. Johnson's head today.

Honestly, I didn't think nukes had been found. I just had to find a reason to post my baghdad bob picture again. I do however believe in the mortar rounds containing sarin and cyclosarin. And if these rounds were from the 80's that scares me more than if they were brand new. It could possibly mean that Saddam didn't even know about them all this time. Any moron asshole terrorists could have stumbled upon one while planting a roadside bomb or something. The can of worms has been opened.

Although, on another front, an investigation has been turned over to Justice regarding the fact that a Halliburton subsidiary was doing business with Iran (against the law) while Cheney was CEO. Don't know what kind of business yet. I'm sure there will be more to come on this - after the election! rofl

Official denies nuclear arms found in Iraq
Baghdad, Iraq, Jul. 21 (UPI) -- A U.S. military official Wednesday denied a report of Iraqi missiles carrying nuclear warheads being found in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad.
The daily al-Sabah newspaper Wednesday had quoted sources as saying three missiles armed with nuclear warheads were discovered in a trench near the city of Tikrit, the hometown of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
A U.S. military spokesman in Tikrit told United Press International that the report was untrue.
"Nothing's been found. The report is not factual," said Master Sgt. Robert Cowens, a spokesman for the 1st Infantry Division, based in Tikrit.
The newspaper reported the three missiles were discovered by chance when Iraqi security forces captured former Baath party official Khoder al-Douri who revealed during interrogation the location of the missiles saying they carried nuclear warheads.
Al-Sabah said that the missiles were discovered in a trench under six meters of concrete, designed to evade sophisticated sensors.
A spokesman with Prime Minister Iyad Allawi's office told UPI that the report concerning the alleged missiles and warheads emerged "while gathering information for Saddam Hussein's tribunal" during the interrogation of a captured former official of Saddam's regime.

Yes they do. But thats only if the sarin has been mixed. Everything thats been found hasn't been mixed. It mixes as the projectile rotates during travel. Sarin has a shelf life of about 10 years in non-humid conditions. Cyclosarin has a shelf life 5x longer than Sarin. So technically, these still could be a devestating device.
