Well, the first thread didn't have Summitt's name in the title, so it's easy to miss.

You know how the OM loves vague thread titles. :D

Yep, that's a common thing around here. It's kind of annoying. Seems like folks try to be too clever with the thread title. Just tell me what the thread is about in a few words.

I do. Before her, only parents and the players' girlfriends would attend games. She helped bring the straights to watch in person and increase the ratings to 1 in 10,000 households watching women's basketball nationwide. In Tennesse, probably 1 in 250.

In seriousness, she was cream of the crop and helped women's basketball exposure. If you like slower basketball, this is your sport to watch.

Geez, excuse me ....

So a thread on a sports forum stating a 'GOAT' has passed away isn't worth a click to see who it is about? :stirstir:

Jason is correct. You tried to get more clicks because actually putting the name wouldn't have helped? He explains why duplicate threads get made because you didn't put "Pat Summit" in the heading. Why? You would have to answer that one.

I misread the article.

Wishing Pat a speedy recovery.

I hate that too. Especially when it's teaser commentary like

"Uh-oh we're in trouble..."

"Somebody shoot me."

"When will it stop?"

How about "event that happened" for a title?
