Made a bet with a patriot fan. Loser buys other teams jersey for the winner. I picked orange talib, he picked bent over red Edelman jersey.

Is this a stupid bet? I picked Talib just to hurt him a little more. Hilarious!

Nice. You're going to be sporting a sweet jersey acquired from the New England Patriots. Poetry...

Good luck but best for me is just have Broncos win and don't care how bad it is a win-loss.

I got $50 to win $275 on Denver making the Super Bowl from the beginning of the year. Do I take the Pats for $162.50 this week (give or take ML odds)?

I expect completely unbiased advice obviously.

I have been a broncos fan my whole life.

With that said, if I had $162.50, and I was forced to bet it. I would bet on the patriots.

Our offense is too inconsistent. I feel like our offense would have to have an amazing game to win. Even though we have an amazing defense, the patriots will put up points.

Can we keep up with them? Will Demaryius Thomas show up?

The safer bet is the patriots imo. But the part that bothers me is that the Broncos have a capability to whoop the patriots, they ARE a better team. If they play to their abilities

I'd be a little disappointed if it's a win and not a win loss.

Smart money says take the Pats. Besides you win either way with bet. You either win the game or lick your wounds by making some quick cash :yayaya:

No I would let it ride. First of all you could get middled and lose both, second of all let the 275 ride. 100 dollars isn't worth trying to over engineer your bets. Hedging in the long run just helps you win less when you win, and lose more when you lose.

No, cause you'd have to bet against the spread and then you'd make it guaranteed that the Broncos lose by less than 3. Don't do that to all of us.

Well I would only take NE if ML is available; no way would I risk a heartbreaking 1-point loss that costs me all my bets as well.

I also have 50/600 on Denver winning the SB, which makes the hedge a little more tempting. Basically my options are:

Worst case win $62.50
Best case win $712.50

Worst case lose $100
Best case win $875

Obviously this is ignoring the odds on the ML, but hedging looks pretty good here. The economist in me says yes, but the fan in me just feels so dirty. The good news is that my individual game bets seem to usually fail so I can spin it that I'm actually helping the Broncos.

I have a wacky bet with one of my sisters who's become a huge Manning fan now. We made it two months ago.

If Manning wins the Super Bowl I have to shave my hairline in the front one inch in honor of PFM'ings high forehead.

If Manning went one-&-done in the playoffs, she had to get a Nancy Grace with bangs helmet haircut.

She's now off the hook. I'm still on the hook.

I bet 200 on Broncos to cover, and then used the deposit bonus (100) to bet the over on FGs. When the dust settled, i had 595 in my account but i couldn't withdraw it until i rolled the bonus money over. 4 days of small betting blackjack later and i was up to 1069. Withdrew the 1000 and built the 69 up to 360 before losing it on 9 consecutive losing hands. Still, 800 dollars of profit and an AFC Championship game win is a good weekend!

I won a piece of artwork by Chris Sembower signed by Marcus Peters from "Bobs your information minister" because the Chiefa won a playoff game this year.

It was going to be tickets to the next rounds playoff game (which would have been tix to the NE game) but I let him off the hook before the Houston game by offering a "mercy".

The piece was limited to only 50 that got signed and will be worth some cash one day

Peters nickname is "the Kansas City thief" and the piece is titled "a thief in the night"

It's done from the pick 6 he jumped and housed against Denver.

You like it?

I'm just glad he paid up his bet. Now it may be worth something someday, but probably not that much. The amount of stuff these guys sign really dilutes the market.

Chris Sembower is becoming a big name artist with his work on the Royals and Chiefs.

Also, notice MP signed it 2015 DROTY weeks before he even won the award?

Lots of confidence in that kid.

Glad we drafted him.

Would they have "routed" the Steelers? Like the Steelers (and Patriots/Panthers) were supposed to "route" the Super Bowl Champion Broncos?
