Sam Bradford, Rams: Count this situation as one of the offseason’s great mysteries. Bradford was on pace for his best season as a pro in 2013 before tearing his ACL. Now, with Bradford headed into Year 5 of a six-year contract, the Rams have to make a call on his future.

Two key factors at play here: 1. Bradford is due more than $14 million in base salary next season, and the Rams could save $10.4 million by cutting him (with about $7 million in dead money); 2. The Rams hold two first-round picks, including No. 2 overall, in a draft that boasts several potential No. 1 QBs.

The signs currently point to St. Louis giving Bradford at least one more season at the helm. That may change in the coming weeks.

someone will pay him more than the broncos are willing to pay

Someone that needs a QB now will pay for him. Only Mile High Mojoe and no_broncos make that deal so they can get rid of Manning. We don't need a starting veteran to sit for up to 2 seasons before playing. Wasted money on the bench.

Bradford hasn't done squat. Why would we be interested?

Raiders and Jags. Raiders would pay double of any other offer.

Bradford has serious issues when pressured iirc, years behind dog**** offensive lines in STL has given him David Carr syndrome (ie. "**** it, i'm not taking another sack, even if it means tossing this to a linebacker")

Jesus Christ, really?
Sam Bradford?
Do we really want to suck for years to come?
Do we really want another Kyle Orton?
Haven't we learned yet?
We need nothing short of a franchise QB...a real one

Come on man, WTF?!!!
Sam Bradford! ROFL!

Just because we relived the Superbowl blow-out situation of the past doesn't mean we need to revisit the Tommy Maddox part of that era...

Sam Bradford is a starting NFL QB...he just can't stay healthy. He will not be a back up anytime soon...

Well, to be fair, Peyton Manning got released a couple of years ago too!

Confession time from a Tebow guy: part of the excitement spike when Tebow was drafted late first round by Denver (after most fans had adjusted to the idea he was going to be a third round project and work on his mechanics), was that I doubted Bradford and Jimmy Clausen (two of the quarterbacks Kiper and Co. rated at the top of the draft).

The second major part of this confession is that I thought Kyle Orton sucked at winning, and just wanted to get on with the hard knocks of Tebow. Said conciliatory things about Orton, but he seemed like a waste of skin and time, and snaps that could help Tebow develop.

In hindsight (and from sight at the time), that was a really weak time for quarterbacks in the draft and for Denver.

But honestly I long for the day when we can speak openly about Bradford being a loser. I've faked respect because people light in on a Tebow guy if it starts to look like he's not seeing good in other quarterbacks. (I was once banned from a board for saying I'd rather have Tebow than McNabb, because I thought McNabb was overrated and would end his career soon).

If he can toss 56 TDs in a season and score 9+ in a Super Bowl, bring him not for a look

If it is a situation where Peyton went to the Broncos and said this year is going to be his last year, then it might make some sense. Bradford's problem is protection and staying healthy, and if he plays in Jacksonville or Oakland that is going to be big issue. If he signs with a team with more all around talent on it, maybe it's worth sitting out a year
