Was gonna take Wednesday off but it's not worth it cause its prolly gonna be a ****ty day. The Staff had a beautiful class a month ago, and they got kicked in the nuts the last month.

Will probably finish Top 12-15, but it's hard to be satisfied with that when we were Top 3 a month ago.

How will your team do?

Buffs fan. Hoping CU can steal local kid Kalen Ballage from ASU on signing day. Not going to be a good class overall; probably not in the Top 50, but when you're building a program from the ashes, have to start somewhere.

Lane?

Fasho.

Who is the DE? Michael Strahan's nephew?

We can't fit 31 recruits here. Half of them probably won't make it for grades, so whatevs. JUCO they go.

same boat here. i hate signing day because every year good talent leaves the state and CU ends up picking out of the trash heap.

You guys are slow playing a lot of kids and asking some gray shirt...up to 37 want to commit.

As I told you before, Lane is a Nole because he is Cooks butt buddy. He has still not taken ACT so he might not qualify. Travis Rudolph is also currently an FSU commit but if Lane stays he will likely go elsewhere, as they don't get along. FSU has a decent shot at Dupree as well.

For Miami we are focusing on about a half dozen kids...which I expect we will strike out on all but 1, who I didn't want anyway unless he immediately gives up his desire to be a QB.

Some rumblings Alabama could steal Chad Thomas from us. We've already lost one elite player to the bagman (Valentine...L$U) id be surprised if they lost Chad.

If they lose Chad, the fan base will universally demand that the whole staff be fed to starving dogs. There is no way they can survive losing both Valentine and Chad Thomas.

Lol....our fans are already creating photoshops for tomorrow. Got the long knives out for the staff and nothing has happened yet.

Actually, if they lose Chad Thomas, all hell will break loose. Even if they keep him and miss out on the rest, people are gonna be pissed, but if they can't at least hold Alabama off for him, there will be a huge meltdown and it will be well deserved. Kid is coming primarily for the music program and also has alot of ties to the rap industry down there and is a rising star there. If they still can't hold him with that, it's gonna be really bad.

A very familiar blast from the past....this is also a good, but tragic story on the craziness of recruiting itself:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1943325-the-tragic-story-of-willie-williams-college-footballs-first-celebrity-recruit

I remember reading the Herald each week for the diary and being obsessed with WW. What a waste. Could have been another Lawrence Taylor, or better.

JC Jackson sticks with Florida. Disappointing but not a surprise given that he unofficialled there the same day as our in home visit and staff had to wait till midnight almost with his family for him to get back so they could meet with him. Not often a kid goes against both parents but seems to happen to us alot.

Ensuring Hackenberg stayed with us was #1 this year while we wait for NCAA shenanigans to subside.

Still, added a few really nice pieces to the puzzle this morning.

PSU should really be poised hit the ground running when bowl eligibility returns.

Uneventful SD for Michigan but 2015 will be the really key class.
We have lost commits from Damien Harris and George Campbell and we badly need to get them back.

We brought in a lot of talent for the 2014 class. RB and WR are needs that must be thoroughly address in the 2015 class though.

Nowhere to go but up. Have to hope that they landed some steals in the 2 and 3 star recruits they signed. Probably not going to get many blue chippers anytime soon, but if they can get a higher percentage of upper 3 star recruits, there's a better chance to improve the program. That's how the basketball program turned around at least.

I like Shay Fields (WR), Cade Apsay (QB), and Donovan Lee (ATH). Just need more of those type of players

Let me know when they play in the big one....the goal is to be the best, which means play in the big game!! How the hell are 90% of college D1 schools suppose to have a shot at that. Like I said, I still love the Buffsand watch the offseason activity as well as all the games, but lets not act like even 10 teams really have a shot to win it in any given year.

There are only 2 teams that have played for the title in the BCS era so that is a small sample size.
Getting a BCS bowl isn't exactly a small feat.

Eh...Rivals ranks this year's class as 45th in the nation. That would make it the highest-rated class in Bill Snyder's second tenure. We'll see...
