Well we've picked out what we're wearing, what's everyone drinking this weekend?

kupesdad will be drinking $15 beers.

I figured it was only right to drink Colorado based beers, unfortunately my selection was limited based on what you can get here.

Picked up some Dale's Pale Ale and Fat Tire.

Vinegar and water.

Not. I want to remember the game, commit it to memory so when I am old and senile, the only thing I will be able to remember is this game.

I am anticipating needing to slowly ramp up the handful of goofballs this Saturday and Sunday so that I am in the perfect "Sea of Tranquility" for the game.

Since I don't want to end up like Gram Parsons or Jimmy Hendrix I won't be drinking any booze.

When I watch the Super Bowl, I tend to drink a lot. Therefore, I can't choose a good craft beer due to the generally higher alcohol content. So I will be drinking Miller Lite. I know it's crap, but when you want to drink an 18-pack, Left Hand Milk Stout isn't an option!

I was able to buy a case of 32oz (quart) cans for $14.99. That's equivalent to 32 beers - great value! :P

Only one real choice, but only after the game is over:

During the game? Probably a Colorado micro, but I don't tend to drink too much during the game.

You might want to check yourself into a clinic. I am thinking overnight..overnight times 30 to help you with this little problem you seem to having. Your post cries for acceptance as I doubt you are really that thirsty. I am not saying drop everything and go now..no! Wait until Monday when you are at your highest yet your body couldn't be dragging lower than it will be that morning.

18 beers (Miller Lite at only 4.2%) really isn't that much over the course of 8 hours or so. I hardly think that requires rehab! ROFL!

Like I said over the course of about 8 hours. Arrive at the party a few hours before kickoff. Then the game will last around 4. Then stay after for another hour or so. It's easy to drink that amount when you spread it out over a day.

Sucks that I recently killed my Ardbeg 10-year. I still have a bottle of Speymouth from Kirkland that is very similar to that MaCallan 18, but Ardbeg and Lagavulin are the kings.

It's probably smarter for me to drop ~$45 on another bottle when I'll probably spend about that much on a few beers at the pub I'll be at. Hopefully they still have some Deviant Dale's, or at least some good Avery selections.

Kilt Lifter and drinking up the Broncomania..........

It's great to see things in full swing again. There were some dark days after the late 80's. I've told the story but I remember driving all of Colfax from N. Aurora to Downtown Denver during the Griese era counting the number of Broncos hats/jackets and it was impossible to see one....

But my ritual right before kickoff will be to drink ONE microbrew from the state of the opponent, out of a Broncos glass.....in this case, I'll drink one Redhook (based out of Seattle, WA).

Drinking it out of a Broncos glass will "negate the power" of that team.

Decisions I've made after drinking Ouzo are one of the reasons I rarely drink anymore.

If the game turns into a blowout, one way or the other, I'll probably down a couple of "Mike's Hard Lemonades." Maybe even three of them, because they make me thirstier after I drink them.

I got a brew kit about 10 years ago for Christmas, and when you start to see and understand where the tastes come from, how they mix, and the things that you can do... beer becomes an art.

I don't get into the different glasses for different beers, though I do understand where those guys are coming from - I'm just not that hard core. But man, when you suddenly discover that by taste, you can pick out a cascade hop from a centennial hop in a 8.5% daught, suddenly the game changes. I didn't aim to become a beer snob. It just sort of happened... And I definitely try not to be snobby about it... I can knock back a banquet beer or whatever just like anyone else. Different beers for different occassions, I say.

But I can tell you this: when the occassion is to relax at home and enjoy a beer and a Broncos game, I'm drinking something with a high percent and some flavor.
