Not for days, not for weeks, but for months, Joe Scarborough and his Morning Joe panel not only pushed, begged and berated Congress to pass new gun control laws -- they threatened, shamed, mocked, and laughed in the faces of anyone who dared disagree. But Tuesday, voters in the bluer-than-red state-of Colorado told Scarborough and company to go get their shine box. Here is their unforgettably awkward and red-faced reaction:

The last narrative the Right was pushing about Colorado was that we had been taken over by Californians. Oh well. Whatever fits the moment.

Let's also not forget that recall elections during the midterms of midterms are historically low-turnout events which benefit those with more funding and a more motivated base...and who is more motivated than the gun crazies afraid their favorite right (read: only right they care about) will be taken away?

Sound and fury, signifying nothing.

What a dumb argument...Maybe the people were motivated to protect their rights.

Contributions to Morse and Giron totaled roughly $3 million, eclipsing the sum raised by gun-rights activists who loudly lobbied for the senators’ ouster, though some independent groups weren’t required to report spending, according to the Associated Press.
The NRA, for its part, contributed roughly $500,000 for "independent expenditures" related to recall efforts, spokesman Andrew Arulanandam told NBC News.
Bloomberg, meanwhile, offered up more than $300,000 to the anti-recall campaign, according to the AP. A spokesperson for Bloomberg's office was not immediately available Tuesday to confirm that figure to NBC News.
