It was 50 years ago today when Martin Luther King Jr gave this speech. The last 5 minutes are especially inspiring. We've come a long way in 50 years, but some people try to hang on to the past or can't forgive the past, or can't rise above other racists of the present. Fortunately, those numbers are getting fewer every year.

Recognizing that we still have a ways to go is not hanging on to our past nor is it not forgiving it.

I would bet MLK would be greatly disappointed and disgusted to say the least of how the race issue has become nothing more than a political tool to use to silence and smear political enemies, not to mention those that have profited monetarily from such actions.
