Yeah, Zach's had a little hiccup there for a minute. I have to be honest... I chuckled.

For those interested in news... here's a cross-post that almost has useful information.

The situation as Bob Dole understands it is:

It's not about time and it's not about money, it is about technical difficulties that require physical access to the server. (More specifically, a recurring kernel panic error that halts the boot sequence.)

Complicating the problem is the fact that the hosting service was acquired through a 3rd party reseller, so the people who were paid to provide the hosting do not have physical access to the server, and the company that does will not (understandably) accept support requests directly from clients of a 3rd party reseller. (Yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing.)

A new, superior server is sitting somewhere, awaiting data. Unfortunately, transfer of that data requires that it be retrieved from the old server that will not stay up long enough to get it transferred.

So basically, the only thing that <b>anyone</b> could do at this particular moment, is burn up the phone lines and try to light a fire under someone's ass and hope that they can manage to boot the old server. One might safely assume that's being done at the moment.

Unfortunately, as with many other IT functions, there is no tangible evidence of such efforts visible to the end user.

Patriots fan from http://www.patriotsplanet.com here. Been wondering where all of you were. I know that the members of our little Pluto sized patriotsplanet were going through withdrawl, so I KNEW the Jupitor sized membership of CP must be banging their heads somewhere! Boy was I surprised that its on a DONKS board. :)

I hope this extended outage means that Kyle is going to the new server.

Anyway, nice board here Taco. I thought about opening a http://www.patriotsplanet2.com board until I read the last 25 pages of this thread. Nyah!
