View Full Version : LOL @ "Tea Party"

Remember when the "Tea Party" was the "next big thing"?!?

Views of the Tea Party movement are at their lowest point ever, with voters for the first time evenly divided when asked to match the views of the average Tea Party member against those of the average member of Congress. Only eight percent (8%) now say they are members of the Tea Party, down from a high of 24% in April 2010 just after passage of the national health care law.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 30% of Likely U.S. Voters now have a favorable opinion of the Tea Party. Half (49%) of voters have an unfavorable view of the movement. Twenty-one percent (21%) are undecided. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/january_2013/just_8_now_say_they_are_tea_party_members

Their decline in the polling - now much more unfavorable than favorable - has extra sting when delivered by the pollster who specializes in over-sampling the white, the old and the Republican. http://andrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/2013/01/rasmussen-guts-the-tea-party.html (http://andrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/2013/01/rasmussen-guts-the-tea-party.html)

Do you know how many of these clowns got re-elected this time?

There are still close to 50 of them in the House.. 4 left in the Senate. Rand Paul, a few others.

Considering most people are too lazy to check into a political movement for their words first-hand, chances are most of these people simply take the word of inflammatory media coverage. At least with this CT shooter, the media didn't try to tie him in to the Tea Party like they did with both Loughner and Holmes.

Hallelujah and amen.
