The long, storied career of Ray Lewis is coming to an end.

The Baltimore Ravens linebacker informed teammates and coaches on Wednesday that Sunday's playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts will be his final run at M&T Bank Stadium, according to the team.
Take a look back at the best photos of Ray Lewis.
"This will be my last ride," Lewis said.

Nice try ray ray.

Your team is not good enough. Hell of a career but a 2nd round spanking is coming at the hands of Denver or NE.

Flacco the wacco will buckle under pressure

Ray Lewis has been playing football since we had our old uniforms with the D horse logo. That's how old this dude is.

He's saying it's his last game at the home stadium. The only scenario where it wouldn't be his last home game is if both the Broncos and Patriots lose in the divisional round and the Ravens end up hosting the AFC Championship game. I think his assumption is fairly safe regardless of the Ravens winning or not.

EDIT: Actually the only scenario where the Ravens could play another home after next week would be a Bengals at Ravens AFC Championship game.

Is Lewis even able to play right now? Is he actually going to take the field in the playoffs?

Yeah, I remember that wild BAL-DEN game in 1996 where Elway, TD, and Testaverde (of all people) went off.

The funniest part is you actually took the time to lay out the scenarios in response to a joke.

Sometimes, you get to the point where the body just won't perform murder like it used to. At that point, you have to make a decision. Do I perform murder at 40 percent or 50 percent of what I used to be capable of? Or do I shut it down while I'm still committing murder at a high level?

Yeah, they "stole" it from some security company that actually sued them or something like that.

It always reminded me of the Airwolf logo.

It would be hilarious, if they rode this sentiment all the way to the AFC Championship game. When we played Baltimore, the score was closer than it actually was...:strong:

Say it ain't so...
As FatherTime passes them by: Ray Lewis, Barrett Robbins and Eugene Robinson.
Super Bowl weekend just won't be the party it used to be.

Hopefully, he is able to bring his game to Denver on Jan. 12th and the Broncos can kick his criminal ass out of the league.

The guy is everything you want in a MLB. Great player and great leader. I don't think that B'More would have been anywhere near as great on defense for so many years without him.

I'm guessing most on here are forgetting this ****....he got the charges dropped because he turned on his accomplices, then hem-hawed his testimony during the trial which enabled his conspirators to be acquitted. He got away with murder.

Following a Super Bowl XXXIV party in Atlanta on January 31, 2000, a fight broke out between Lewis and another group of people, resulting in the stabbing deaths of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar. Eleven days after Lewis and two companions, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting, were questioned by Atlanta police, the three were indicted on murder and aggravated assault charges. The white suit Lewis was wearing the night of the killings has never been found. Prosecutors alleged that the bloodstained suit was dumped in a garbage bin outside a fast food restaurant.

Lewis claimed that the prosecution knew he was not involved in the murder but chose to go ahead with the case anyway, saying "You don't care if I'm guilty or not. You gonna make sure I go to jail for life."

Lewis' attorney arranged for the murder charges against Lewis to be dropped in exchange for his testimony against Oakley and Sweeting, and a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice. Lewis admitted that he gave a misleading statement to police on the morning after the killings.

He was sentenced to one year of probation and was fined $250,000 by the NFL, which was believed to be the highest fine levied against an NFL player for an infraction not involving substance abuse.

Oakley and Sweeting were acquitted of the charges in June 2000. No other suspects have ever been arrested for the crime.

The following year, Lewis was named Super Bowl XXXV MVP. However, the signature phrase "I'm going to Disney World!" was given instead by quarterback Trent Dilfer.

On April 29, 2004, Lewis reached a settlement with four-year-old India Lollar, born months after the death of her father Richard, preempting a scheduled civil proceeding. Lewis also reached an undisclosed settlement with Baker's family

**** Ray Lewis.....

that game was a blast. My wife scored free tickets from work.

If I remember right, it was Eddie Macs first game as a starter (shanny benched anthony miller) and proceeded to snag 3 TD's.
