According to Mort, Peyton and Champ are already in, both 12th time selections for them, well done.

Also apparently 17 Bronco players are top 5 in positional voting. That's 1/3 of the damn roster.

Yeah, and in truth I couldn't give a damn about the game but I reckon it's a mark of achievement for our players/team if and when they get selected within the top echalon at their position.

Peyton, Miller, Champ, Doom, Clady and DT should all get in.

Peyton, Champ, and Von are locks it looks like.

Thomas it will be interesting to see if he gets elected or not. Andre Johnson, AJ Green and Reggie Wayne seem to round out the top 3 for the WR's.

Clady has a good shot, not sure any other OL really deserving of Pro Bowl honors.

Doom has a good shot too.

Woodyard I'd say is another LB who has a shot.

Holiday has a shot, but I think Jacoby Jones will be the return man.

Colquitt is having a pretty awesome year for us.

No chance for Prater.

I'm still holding on to hope that Chris Harris will make it.

I am not holding out hope, as I seriously doubt he makes it. But - he sure deserves it. He has been amazing.

I really doubt Woodyard makes it. There are too many other high profile linebackers. I think another OL besides Clady will sneak in as a mild surprise. I've seen quite a bit of love for Beadles recently...

My picks:

Manning
Thomas
Decker
Dreessen
Clady
Beadles
Koppen
Moreno
Kuper
Franklin
Gronk
Prater
Vickerson
Bannan
Doom
Wolfe
Brooking
Von
Woodyard
Champ
Harris
Adams
Moore
Colquitt
Holliday
Bruton

The realist in me sees that two or three of those won't make it (if I had to pick, I'd say Prater, Gronk, and maybe - well, I'll just stick to those two).

I'm going to guess that the following Broncos make it:

Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Von Miller, and Champ Bailey.

Wesley Woodyard and Ryan Clady have an outside chance of making it as well....I bet they are alternates.

I'm surprised the 9ers didn't get the whole starting roster. The press has been blowing jimmy screaming-baby harbaugh since he got there. They've basically given them the super bowl trophy 4 times this season already, that is until they get their a$$es handed to them every time after.

Maybe the voters figured that voting for too many Broncos was futile because while other players like Welker will be in Hawaii that week, the Broncos will be in N.O. preparing for the Bowl. It's the only thing that explains the snubs. 8')

Frank Gore over Alfred Morris? Yeah ok.

I voted for Gore over Morris. Gore is the engine of the Niners offense, Morris plays second fiddle to RGIII and the read option. Watch the Niners play, Gore has run hard and smart all year.

If Woodyard has a similiar year to this one next year, he'll get in. Unless you are absolutely beasting, it usually takes 2 solid years in a row to make your first pro bowl. Happens all the time.

Same with DT.

I like Gore a lot, but Alfred Morris has been critical to the redskins more so than Gore IMO.

In years past, yes Gore all the way IMO but from what I see, Hunter seems to spell him quite a bit in the games I watch.

I know they aren't star studded on offense and Gore has been Mr. 49er but I really feel like this one was off reputation.

It's ok, Alfred Morris is a rookie so it's pretty hard to get in. You really have to impress to get in. Luck didn't even make it.

Morris suffers from the well known Shanahan Factor. You know...anybody can run for a thousand in this system. I don't agree with it, but it is a reason for the snub.

All DT needs is for one of the other 4 not to make the game...then he's named.

The problem with the Pro Bowl........is it means way too much!

How do guys get elected to the HOF? Well, one major thing on their resume is how many Pro Bowls they're selected to. A guy like DT not getting a Pro Bowl nod for his efforts could hurt him down the road.

It's to fill the gap between the conference championships and the SB. Better ratings ($$$) than playing this in FEB. In JAN, people are still pumped up for football, with the SB just around the corner.

Agree with the opinion though that they should just get rid of this game and make the pro bowl just an award for the players. Keep the skill competitions and the like, but just axe the game. Maybe make something with the players and the fans more interactive to still give people a reason to fly out to Hawaii. But will probably never happen since the NFL won't want to lose the revenue from the game itself.

We got a pro bowl LT & pro bowl QB - check

We got top flight under the radar receivers & TE's - check

We got one of the best offensive lines in the league - check

We are OK to good at the running back position. - check

Looks like a pro bowl QB & LT trumps a Running back two LBs, a safety and a punter in a pear tree.

Rolandftw

Absolutely amazing that Eric Berry was able to make the Pro Bowl considering he was the opposing team's TE best friend through 3/4 of the season.

I don't get how Justin Houston is snubbed over Tamba Hali other then name recognition.

The fact that the worst team in the NFL has as many pro bowlers as one of the better teams in the NFL is pretty strong evidence that the Pro Bowl needs to be scrapped.

I thought Demaryius Thomas deserved a spot.

His stats are in line with the AFC WRs who were voted in:

A.J. Green: 95 receptions for 1,324 yards and 11 TDs
Andre Johnson: 100 receptions for 1,457 yards and 4 TDs
Reggie Wayne: 102 receptions for 1,315 yards and 5 TDs
Wes Welker: 110 receptions for 1,260 yards and 5 TDs

Demaryius Thomas: 87 receptions for 1,312 yards and 9 TDs

DMT might be short a few less receptions than the others, but he had the highest YPC of the bunch at 15.1 ypc.

DMT's 9 TDs also ranked 2nd highest in that group.

How did Cromartie make it over Harris...

Antonio Cromartie has 33 tackles | 3 INTs | 0 sacks | 1 TD

Johnathan Joseph has 57 tackles | 2 INTs | 0 sacks | 1 TD

Champ Bailey has 63 tackles | 2 INTs | 0 sacks | 0 TD

Chris Harris has 59 tackles | 3 INTs | 2.5 sacks | 2 TD

No, I don't think they should have got 5. Berry should not have went. I wouldn't have selected Colquitt either. Hali had a very mediocre year, at least by his standards
