Have you gotten that feeling yet that where going to win it all. I keep having thoughts about Peyton hoisting up that trophy after beating Eli in New Orleans.

Why a great time to be a Bronco fan.

I started feeling it December 5, 2010 once I heard the rumor that Elway was high fiving Bowlen and Elway's restaurant. Really started feeling it in March. Since then it's almost been a constant high. So yeah, this is awesome and I am appreciating what we have. :)

I almost can't believe what my own eyes are telling me. I want to believe, but still think we're a year away. Can't explain it, and I'd absolutely love to be wrong.

You don't talk to a pitcher when he's hasn't given up a hit in a number of innings. Does anyone know why?

The last time I had a feeling like this about a team was way back in 1980. The Raiders were I think 2-3 or 3-2 nothing special and they were playing the Steelers on a Monday night. Dan Pastorini was hurt and Jim Plunkett came in and destroyed the Steelers at Pittsburgh. After that game I had this weird feeling that the Raiders would go on a winning streak and sure enough they beat Philly in the Super Bowl. I started having the same feeling about Denver right after the San Diego comeback.

Superstition that you'll jinx the no-hitter....

While fans will talk of winning the SB, one has to believe this team with the leadership of Elway, Fox, and Manning will keep the players from believing their own press clippings and remain focused on the goal.....ever since the team has went to those sideline debriefings, they seem to be more cognizant of what's going on in the game....and have responded better to adversity.

I started feeling it last night when I started debating football with my buddies at our weekly footbal game. Started talking about elite QB's and Manning came up, and everyone knows im a huge Broncos fan and its funny because 2 years ago all my buddies knew nothing of the broncos other than them being terrible(due to McDaniels) or the team that used to have Cutler and Marshal or Elway...blah blah blah

But once all of these Panthers, Saints, Cowboy friends of mine started discussing how good certain Bronco players are playing and how they have beaten teams solidly

I started to feel that we might be able to do it this year

I do not feel it yet. The last time I felt it was the entire season between Superbowl 32 and 33, That team was alot better than this team in my opinion. We had Elway at his very best, You can not even compare our running back situation... TD >>>>>>>> than this team combined. I liked Rod, Ed and Shannon alot better than our current WR's and lets not forget we had Romo in the middle and a guy named ATWATER behind him erasing the other team one hit at a time.

I just do not see it yet from this team, just too many concerns and next to no depth at all.

Drink freely kids from the fountain of kool-aid, But I will enjoy the ride.

Most people think this is because you don't want to break the pitchers rythm and jinx him - in reality this is something that started in the 1920s, in that era most pitchers were assholes and people never talked to them if they could avoid it - like playoff beards, gonorrhea and parasite infested hotdogs it is has just become a tradition.

It will be a matter of chance if we win it this year, as with any year but more so this year since i think our talent level is on par with the other best. If we play our best like in the NO game, then I think we can top any of those guys except the Pats whom I'm not sure about.

I'm not feeling it yet. Teams get hot and cold and clearly this team is certainly capable of getting/staying hot and going to the Superbowl, but Houston is awfully good this year.

Ray Rice, Arian Foster, Frank Gore/Hunter, Ridley (surprising 1000 yard back), Moreno/Hillman. (Two of these things are not like the others.)

Sorry, but you only get the "feeling" once you posted 150 times on the Mane. You have "puppy feelings". When this team consistently plays 4 quarters of football, I will feel like we are winning it all. When you have already lost to Houston at home and Pats on the road, those are wake up reminders that there are other good teams in the AFC. I like the improvement since those games but we don't have Willis injury free and we don't know what game if any. So important to get that #2 seed.

Baltimore at home were 16-0 before they lost to the Steelers I think. It's a tough place to win and they have a good team.

I do .. and agree... enjoy the ride as it happens and unfolds but lets not hoist any trophy's yet. Love how we are improving and the D is starting to really gel.

I also notice how those little serendipitous events like Koppen being picked up a couple weeks before Walton went down ... how Chris Harris and Tony Carter stepped it up when Porter went out.

How Moreno has looked good and is holding hte gap since McGahee's injury and DJ comes back and Danny Trevathan is on the fast rise to becomign a starter for us aroudn the time Mays goes on IR and this thankfully shorter term absence of Woody happen.

These are the kind of intangibles that define most successful playoffs seasons and I DO very much appreciate it happening.

Manning said it well on the NFL Interview for tonight's game when they asked him if we are a Super bowl team. Peyton didn't even acknowledge the question but like a good politician he redirected it to his message that "Hey this is a learning year and its fantastic to find yourself winning while learning"... He also said at his age you don't look to the past nor the future .. its ALL about now and not taking anything for granted so try hard to win every single week.

That is the truth, regardless of how the rest of the year plays out, we have made huge strides and surprised just about everyone outside of Bronco nation. As much as I want to win it all this year, the next couple years are looking incredible bright as well.

But I agree with Khan lets not get ahead of ourselves, we need a lot of injury luck the next two months to get to the promised land.

I got that feeling the day we signed Manning. It was like we just signed up to win a Superbowl. I was so confused at how anybody could possibly be against the move. Sure, his neck injury was a concern, but the way I saw it, he's Peyton Manning - the smartest man in football. He felt like he could go; his doctors felt like he could go; and the Broncos team doctors felt like he could go. Who am I to second guess?

As mentioned before, I think that beating the Rat-Birds in their house would make me feel significantly better about our chances. It would also be "good omen-ish" to take care of a former nemesis.

I think we match up well against any team in the league except the Pats (as previously mentioned). However, they only beat the Dolphins by one TD last week (which is encouraging). Hopefully JDR knows exactly how to attack them on a second go around.

While completely cliche, I like the thought that life is about the road traveled, not the final result.

Enjoy it now, celebrate now. The truth, and hard fact, is that you may never see that trophy hoisted. Nothing guarantees it, no matter how good this team is.

I felt good about our chances of being much much improved when I heard we were going to land Manning for sure. But I still had doubts about going all the way because of our defense. I knew JDR was a good coordinator but having to switch defenses again, for the 7th time in a as many years I was very skeptical about it being a good defense so soon. But having seen them the last 7 weeks, and even the 2nd half of games during the first 5 weeks I have been impressed and now believe this team is as good as any other team, and we have just as good as chance to win it all.

Sometimes winning it all though, comes down to those handful of plays during the playoffs that make the difference. You can still be a great team but you make a few mistakes at the wrong time of a game and that's that.

I honestly think it comes down to 6 teams that have a lagit shot to win. Just depends on what I said above, who plays the most mistake free football in the post season.

Broncos
49'ers
Ravens
Patriots
Falcons
Texans

A close consideration goes tot he Giants. You never want to count them out but I don't think they have it this year.

You stated Baltimore eats penis this year or something like that. And beating them will prove nothing as far as beating the Pats. I simply pointed out that Baltimore in fact beat New England this year and since they have the same record then New England too must eat penis.

Nothing in that first Den/NE game is relevant if they play again. Denver hadn't gelled and kept fumbling the ball. It'll be a much different game if they play again.

For years it seemed Denver could beat NE, NE could beat Indy, and Indy could be Denver. Teams just matchup differently against different teams. There can be no surrogate to the Denver Broncos lining up opposite the Patriots and trying to stop their offense.
