... on if a vote should be taken on tax cut to 98% of the country (God bless House minority rights lol). Republicans say they support the tax cut, why won't Boehner put the sh_t up for a vote? Is our supposed representatives taking a vote really that horrific of a thing?

House already passed there version of the tax cuts extending them for everyone. In order for pelosi to force a vote on the dem bill she would have to file a disharge petition which i believe takes 220 votes? Then that would force the bill to the floor. The problem is she would need quite a few repubs to break ranks. IMO she doesn't have the votes.

The hag should be a discharge petition herself. Wonder how much that face lift cost us tax payers.

Obviously Ferrotte doesn't understand how the House and Senate work. Not surprised though its sort of consfusing.

It's a vote to force a vote, which is what I said, on the bill that has passed the Senate. I would wait for a response, but I believe you're banned. Shame.

Now I get it you have a thing for the old rich Hag. Think you can get into her pants to get some of the billions she has?
Good luck.

Doesn't the filibuster come into play? I see there's quite a bit of effort to reform the filibuster.

Filibuster is for the Senate. The issues regarding the "fiscal cliff" are stuck in the GOP House.
This is what I can't understand about Republicans. They are unwilling to give an damn inch. Obama ran his campaign mainly on the idea that the Bush tax cuts need to expire except for the poor and middle class, that the richest americans should pay more. This was the WHOLE campaign. Obama won, that's what the PEOPLE want. You think Republicans are going to honor that? Nope.

True, but it still has to get through the Senate.
Boehner is trying to get the House lined up for a compromise and I give bigtime props to Boehner for doing the right thing for the country. Dude has done a great job trying to neutralize the right wingers. I hope this works out well, don't want to see the cliff.
