Russian Newspaper: Obama Was Re-Elected by "Illiterate Society"

Nov 26, 2012 07:31 AM EST

Russian newspaper Pravda is blaming President Obama's re-election on an "illiterate society" who voted for him.

Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.

After Obama was elected in his first term as president the then Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January of 2009. Ignored by the West as usual, Putin gave insightful and helpful advice to help the world economy and saying the world should avoid the Soviet mistake.

Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies of less taxes while he raises them. He gives speeches of peace and love in the world while he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria. He plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals who get in the way.

The editorial even mention's President Obama's Fast and Furious scandal.

Any normal individual understands that as true but liberalism is a psychosis . O'bomber even keeps the war going along the Mexican border with projects like "fast and furious" and there is still no sign of ending it. He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Obama's fools and Stalin's fools share the same drink of illusion.

Remember, this op-ed was written by someone who knows communism first hand. While I don't agree Putin is an example of pure freedom, I can't say I disagree with the editorial's main points about giving into Obama's cult of personality while ignoring his long list of failures and his collectivist, central control, big government political philosophy.

"[Russia] is without question our number one geopolitical foe; they fight for every cause for the world's worst actors. The idea that he has more flexibility in mind for Russia is very, very troubling indeed," – Romney Hilarious!

“Governor, when it comes to our foreign policy, you seem to want to import the foreign policies of the 1980s, just like the social policies of the 1950s, and the economic policies of the 1920s,” – Obama

A Romney Travels to Russia, but on Strictly Friendly Terms (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/02/us/politics/matt-romney-goes-to-russia-for-business.html?_r=0)
By PETER BAKER
Published: November 1, 2012

WASHINGTON — Matt Romney, a son of the Republican presidential nominee, traveled to Moscow this week seeking Russian investors for his California-based real estate firm just days before his father is to wrap up a campaign in which he has vowed to take a tougher stance with the Kremlin.

Mr. Romney, the second-oldest son of Mitt Romney, met with Russians whom he hoped to convince to invest in his company, Excel Trust, which owns shopping centers across the United States, the firm said. Although the company’s focus has been solely domestic, it said it has begun exploring international opportunities to raise funds.

Mr. Romney’s trip a week before the presidential election underscored the complex relationship between his family’s business and the political campaign. Mitt Romney has criticized President Obama for being too soft on Russia, calling it “our No. 1 geopolitical foe” and promising to confront President Vladimir V. Putin’s government with “more backbone” if elected on Tuesday.

Mr. Romney has criticized Mr. Putin’s crackdown on domestic dissent and opposition to stronger international measures against Syria and Iran. He has assailed Mr. Obama for not doing more to defend human rights in Russia and for signing a nuclear arms reduction treaty with Moscow.

As Congress considers normalizing trade relations with Moscow, Mr. Romney has insisted that it also penalize Russian officials who commit human rights violations, a linkage the Obama administration has resisted.

The Romney campaign said it had no comment.

The Russian Embassy in Washington said it was unaware of the trip. “We haven’t got any information about Mr. Romney and his visit to Moscow,” said Yevgeny Khorishko, an embassy spokesman. “He didn’t inform us about his visit.”

But while in Moscow, Mr. Romney told a Russian known to be able to deliver messages to Mr. Putin that despite the campaign rhetoric, his father wants good relations if he becomes president, according to a person informed about the conversation.

Matt Romney traveled to Moscow with Gary B. Sabin, the chairman and chief executive of Excel Trust, which is based in San Diego. Greg Davis, the firm’s vice president of capital markets and communications, said the trip was unrelated to the campaign.

“It is a harmless trip,” Mr. Davis said. “It was a trip that has been planned for some time. Any travel they’ve done on behalf of Excel is strictly on the private side. It would have nothing to do with anything governmental.”

Excel is a real estate investment trust that focuses on shopping centers largely in states from California to Florida and up to Pennsylvania. By distributing 90 percent or more of its taxable income in the form of a dividend, it helps investors avoid double taxation under the law, Mr. Davis said.

The firm reported $820 million in assets to the Securities Exchange Commission as of June 30. It focuses on “grocery-anchored neighborhood centers” and “free-standing retail properties,” among others, according to its Web site. Among its holdings are the Shops at Foxwood in Ocala, Fla., the Plaza at Rockwall in Rockwall, Tex., and the Promenade in Scottsdale, Ariz.

While all of its real estate holdings are in the United States, Mr. Davis said Excel was interested in raising money from sovereign wealth funds in Europe and Russia that were looking for safe havens in uncertain economic times.

“There are a number of opportunities worldwide — people looking at where can we put our money,” he said. “Any trips right now are very exploratory to see is there a market, are they serious about investing in Excel.”

Matt Romney graduated from Brigham Young University and Harvard Business School and started at Excel Realty Holdings in 2003, according to a biography. Since 2009, he has served as senior vice president of capital markets for Excel Trust. He has appeared on the campaign trail at times for his father.

His father has made Russia a centerpiece of his indictment of Mr. Obama, whose “reset” policy stabilized relations with Moscow after a rocky stretch only to see ties sour again with the return of Mr. Putin to the presidency.

In recent months, Russia has blocked stronger efforts to stop the killing in Syria, jailed opponents of Mr. Putin at home, kicked out the United States Agency for International Development and threatened to end a longstanding Russian-American nuclear cooperation program.

Mr. Romney seized on a comment Mr. Obama made during a discussion of missile defense with Dmitri A. Medvedev, then Russia’s president, that “after my election I have more flexibility.” Mr. Romney countered that Russia “is without question our No. 1 geopolitical foe,” although he distinguished it from a nuclear-armed Iran, which he termed “the greatest threat that the world faces.”

The comment has caused alarm in Moscow, where some analysts have said relations would freeze if Mr. Romney was elected. Mr. Obama has attacked Mr. Romney as a throwback to the cold war.

“The 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back,” he said at their last debate.

Mr. Romney countered, “I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin. And I’m certainly not going to say to him, ‘I’ll give you more flexibility after the election.’ ”

Putin got Robert Kraft drunk, then stole his SB ring. On stage, during a press conference. One of the more hilarious things you'll ever see, Kraft standing there on the stage looking dumbfounded as Putin pockets his SB ring and walks off the stage, leaving Kraft there looking like an idiot.

Kraft later said, "I showed the president my most recent Super Bowl ring," Kraft said in a statement released Wednesday. The Russian president "was clearly taken with its uniqueness," Kraft said.

"At that point, I decided to give him the ring as a symbol of the respect and admiration that I have for the Russian people and the leadership of President Putin," Kraft said.

So I'm wondering what Putin stole from Matt Romney? Other than his dad's dignity.

First off it cracks me up when someone says "facts". In this life, world, whatever, there are very few facts. 99% of it is opinion. And I don't feel I have to refute what the Russians said. I don't really care and no I do not believe it. They could have said it about electing Romney and would mean the same thing to me, nothing.

I voted for Obama. I sincerely like the guy, as a person. I believe he truly cares. My biggest disappointment with him was trying to please everyone, and caving to those against his ideas. I believe the economy improved as much as it possibly could in 4 years considering the cluster**** Bush left this country in. The next 4 years will be telling.

I am against the Republicans because as much as they like to steer the stereotype of big government with Democrats, they are a huge detriment to personal freedoms. Maybe that's because I live in one of the reddest states in the nation and see that upfront. But notice everything I wrote is my opinion. And believe it or not, most everything posted on this board, even with their "links" to what they perceive as fact, is opinion.

Here are some facts from your friends over at Fox, so they must be true. I've also taken the liberty of putting in who won each state, and what percentage they got. Amazingly a trend started to emerge that points to the exact opposite of the little statement you made above. The difference is that while the below rankings are based on actual real life statistics, your statement is based on a couple of guys you talked to in the Shoney's parking lot:

America's Best (and Worst Educated States)

24/7 Wall St. reviewed the percentage of U.S. residents 25 or older with at least a bachelor’s degree for 2011 from the annual American Community Survey. From that survey, we obtained the percentage of adults that had completed an education at each major level, including high school, graduate and professional schools. We also examined poverty rates and median income for those at different levels of educational attainment.
These are America’s best and worst educated states.

One salient point you should consider about this election: both Romney and Ryan lost their home states, while both Obama and Biden won theirs. In other words, the states that presumably know the candidates best rejected Romney/Ryan, and re-elected Obama/Biden. Says quite a lot, no?

Here are some facts from your friends over at Fox, so they must be true. I've also taken the liberty of putting in who won each state, and what percentage they got. Amazingly a trend started to emerge that points to the exact opposite of the little statement you made above. The difference is that while the below rankings are based on actual real life statistics, your statement is based on a couple of guys you talked to in the Shoney's parking lot:

America’s Best Educated States :

10. Minnesota - Obama 57.7%
9. New York - Obama 62.6%
8. New Hampshire - Obama 52%
7. Virginia - Obama 51.1%
6. New Jersey- Obama 57.9%
5. Vermont - Obama 66.6%
4. Connecticut - Obama 58.2%
3. Colorado - Obama 51.5%
2. Maryland - Obama 62%
1. Massachusetts - Obama 60.8%

America's Worst Educated States:

10. Oklahoma - Romney 66.8%
9. Tennessee - Romney 59.9%
8. Indiana - Romney 54.3%
7. Nevada - Obama 52.4%
6. Alabama - Romney 60.7%
5. Louisiana - Romney 57.8%
4. Kentucky - Romney 60.5%
3. Arkansas - Romney 60.6%
2. Mississippi - Romney 55.5%
1. West Virginia - Romney 62.3%

Your point?

You have not shown anything that was not known prior to the election. The far North east has not voted conservative since perhaps Reagan's two elections.
8 of those states listed are in that area. Nothing new as far as min nothing new there either.

Just because someone has a college education does not make them wise merely an education mostly in the liberal arts from left leaning professors that themselves have never held a real job, other than in academia. Go from school after learning from other liberals to student teaching, to being professors.

Theory is great but most folks once out of college find out what happens in the real world. That while they have a degree that has little to do with practical applications.

So while you feel your boi is a a great president, I have no illusions he has a clue as to how to fix the problems he has mostly ****ed up himself with his policies, edicts, and puesdo decrees he has made without going through congress.

Once again you do not get it was Pravada that printed the article. Not me it is their perception and frankly from my travels in the world many others beleive it also.

So post as many graphs charts from any source you want it does not change what Pravada printed.

BTW you are fooling yourself if you think I watch Fox for my news. So the illusion that I have to believe it because it is from FOX is your error.
I do beleive they are more balanced than anyone else.

Now do I beleive anything from ABC, CBS, NBC, MsNBC absolutely NOT.

Stop, trying to prove your biased point because I do not care.

I guess Pravda doesn't know about the bottom feeding State!! Impress them with your 'education.'

According to the group, Texas ranks 50th among the states in the percentage of its population 25 or older with a high school diploma, per capita spending on mental health, the percentage of non-elderly women with health insurance, the percentage of pregnant women who receive prenatal care and share of its workforce – 76 percent – covered by workers’ compensation.

It’s No. 1 in executions, share of its population that lacks health insurance and five categories of air pollution — nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide, mercury emissions, volatile organic compounds and particulates.

Rep. Elliott Naishtat, D-Austin, said Texas can’t seem to shake miserable rankings.

Naishtat, the group’s treasurer, cited how the state was tied with Florida as No. 1 in the share of children who are uninsured — 18 percent — and tied with Alabama as fourth-highest in child poverty at 32 percent, according to 2008-09 census data.

Number one in executions glad to know. Although each time we fry one of those yahoos the bleeding hearts brings it up so that is not news.

Frankly we are not getting rid of enough scum. If they have not broken our laws then they would not be sentenced to death. To bad it takes as long as it does just more burden on tax payers, than they deserve.

I love how you morons love to be superior to anyone that does not kiss your ass and agree with the talking points.

FWIW I grew up in Colorado Adams county for that matter, I attended CU in Boulder for most of my credits, while working full time, Did it on the GI bill while I did not get my degree there, carried most of the credits on to Syracuse, UCLA as well as USC..

So stick your Colorado superiority up your ass.

I live in Texas because it is a good place to retire, since the early nineties I decided that I did not want to pay state income tax on my earnings. I had thought of moving back to Denver after my first retirement, but decided it had turned into California east, a place I despised when I lived there. High taxes, high cost of living, filled with liberal bleeding hearts.

Also I wanted my last two kids to have a real education. So Texas it was, oh btw they also went to private Christian schools, so please do not tell me about the education levels of our schools, I do not care.

Last but not least, we also have bleeding heart assholes in Texas mainly from the Houston area.

Texas has a CHIPs program that cover all kids in Texas for medical care, for a family the max they pay is $50.00 per year per family.

So if we have kids that are not covered it is because they are illegal. They would be taken care of in emergency rooms at no cost. So you can add that comment to the stick it up your ass column.

The pollution stats and negative environmental picture for Texas are no surprise.

You will recall that Texas Gov GW Bush instituted a policy to make air/water quality and emissions voluntary -- so as not to burden industry with onerous "job killing" regulation.

This is the result -- entirely predictable.

Actually I bounced from school to school because working full time support a wife and child did not allow me to go full time.. So it took me years going to for the most part left leaning schools.

Also getting promoted every couple of years meant I was transferred from city to city. Hence CU, Syracuse, UCLA and USC. Sorry I took forgranted you might pick that up.

Yep having all those union tenured teachers has really improved the education system as YOU know it today.

How about we actually give incentive to teacher that produce instead of automatic raises based on time in grade.

I'm sure that would not have any positive effect would it?

Personally I think in today's class rooms most of our good teachers are underpaid.. Depending on the school maybe even entitled to combat pay.

There are tenured teachers all over the country

There is a huge disparity between schools in red states and blue states.

Logic would tell you that teacher tenure does not play any role in education performance whatsoever.

Try to look deeper into the problem, and come up with an answer as to why there is such an educational disparity between red states and blue states. Why do states such as Vermont consistently blow the doors off of states like Texas? Why do students in Virginia perform infinitely better than their neighbors next door in West Virginia?

Teacher tenure? Really?
