Well, Obama said he'd listen to what Romney has to say. Obama had a bunch of CEO's in for a conference today, trying to get some compromise going, that was necessary and productive. I'm seeing some hope for a bridge over the cliff. Hopefully cooler heads prevail over the rabid far-wing nutjobs.

What cooler heads?

They were all purged from the GOP.

Just ask Huntsman.

Romney has to go Obama invited him. it would make him look like he can't get over being a sore loser to not show up. Really though Romney lucky he lost. He will be healthier and happier not being President. We aren't lucky but Rommney is. He's rich either way. Same with Obama.

L O L... Republicans can't distance themselves quick enough from Romney these days and Obama is rolling out the red carpet and calling in the cameras.

It's diabolical I tell ya. I wouldn't doubt if he offers him some sort of position to keep him in the public consciousness as a reminder.

Barack's just going to sit at the other side of the table and stare at Mitt eating. Just before he swallows the last bite of Mahi served over braised Whole Foods arugula, he's going to look Mitt in the eye and say

"See. There is such a thing as a free lunch."

These "Democrats for Huntsman" types are pretty funny. Seems like every election Democrats have some favorite Republican loser that they swear would've been the best thing since sliced bread for Republicans. Then even if that person gets nominated next time, they about-face and swear some other different guy was the REAL answer.

Even if he's virtually indistinguishable from the guy who won the nomination.

Let's face it Labron. It wouldn't matter if we nominated Bill Clinton. You wouldn't vote for anyone with an (R) behind their name no matter what.

When did I say I was "for" Huntsman?

You're right: I would no sooner vote for a Republican than I would vote for a member of any other organized crime syndicate.

You would have to figure out a way to resurrect Ike to get me to do it.

Ah, there's GOP'rs that desperately want a compromise. They know what the correct thing to do is. But they have that far-right wing to deal with and that's gonna be thorny for them. It's like a bed of nails they made for themselves, but they want something softer. They're hoping they can get the Dems to soften that bed of nails they made for themselves, and the Dems probably should do so. The GOP controls the House, and that's a big deal.

That's one thing the Dems can give up that will reduce the Federal budget.
