it is the best thing that has happened to the Broncos since 1983 and the trade..

You can see Manning is a shoe in for a HC at some point if he wants to go that direction.

Way to busy making pizzas.

I do not think he will coach I think he will own a team..

I think he will too. I wouldn't be surprised if he went in with Elway and bought the Broncos.

does Pat still have to give the other guy he bought it from first option?

If not I'd guess that you could be pretty close to being correct..

Ever been an owner/player?

I have know clue on your first question. As far as owner player I think it is against the rules at the same time. Granted NBA is completely different sport but that is why Jordan had to sell when he came back to Wizards. I would think NFL would be similar.

I would be surprised if he goes that way, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him end up going the GM way and you can bet that ESPN, NFL network, NBC and FOX will all be making very persuasive offers to have him do analysis.

Maybe as part of a larger group but not just the 2 of them. No way that have that much scratch.

Between Elway, his car partner, and Manning family they could do it. Not to mention a bank would jump all over loaning a little money for a NFL team.

Jerry Richardson currently owns the Panthers and played for the Colts. I think there were several others back in the old days. George Halas for one.

Edit: Unless you mean active player/owner, then I don't know.

Maybe Peyton and John will buy the Broncos from Pat.

I can't imagine a new owner in the NFL would ever be a sole owner at this point. With franchises headed towards a billion dollars there are always going to be outside investors.

You crazy.

Forbes valued the Broncos at just over a Billion in 2011. They would both have to sell everything and go all in plus need help to just buy the team (not that I think they could just the 2 of them). then they have to fund the operations while servicing the debt. Ya, they are rich but not that rich.

"Don't give'em an inch, alright? We've got to step on their throats now, alright?"
