Manning won his record 22nd AFC offensive player of the week the week after Tom Brady tied him with 21.

Manning needs 2 more to have been named the best offensive player for the equivalent of a season and a half. I know the press and league at large has a bit of a hardon for Peyton, but that is still dominant.

On a different note, does anyone else think that if the league MVP was decided today Peyton would win his 5th?

Who else would be in contention? Matt Ryan?

Ryan is doing it with 2 many times pro-bowlers, one of them being the best recieving TE to ever play in the league. Manning is doing it with a surgically repaired neck, 12 months without touching a football and 2 guys who have never had a 1000 yards in a season.

He'll be the comeback player no matter what.

Player of the year to Manning comeback player of the year to Stokley, although he needs to pick up the pace a little.

We win 11 games this year and I bet Peyton is named MVP. in the AFC this year an 11-5 record probably gets a bye week in the playoffs.

Honestly if not for not having a Terrell Davis because Turner slowing down, ATL offense loaded sort of like we were when we won superbowls. Great TE and 2 very good WR combined with a good quarterbacking and a good oline.
