Protect another country's borders, but ignore our own. Makes sense.

If a president Romney did it, you'd be waving the flag and calling anybody who disagreed a traitor.

Wow... All the right wingers I knew were previously calling Obama a pussy for not sending troops out to that area. Now that he does it, he's an idiot ignoring our own borders?
You know, the two actions aren't mutually exclusive, and our borders haven't exactly been ignored by this president. Perhaps not handled well, but definitely not ignored.

Probably true. But how do you feel about a democratic president doing it?

Without knowing the security issues close to Jordan's border, it's tough to know if this is a prudent, defensive move, or something else.
Big difference between helping to protect a friend's border vs getting involved within Syria.

I've said all along that the U.S. should have supplied NATO with AWACs and intelligence while NATO bombed Syrian military equipment, including air force and army installations. This is a very measured response. Seems like more of a signal to the region than anything else. Probably a signal to Putin and the Chinese as well. This tells them, "America is getting ready to take action. No more stalling."

We send troops to defend another countries boarders but not our own. Seems legit!

They will be sent to Texas as soon as the oilfields are perceived to be at risk. :)

Sounds to me like Jordan requested help, especially with the refugee problem. I also like the idea that the U.S. is getting in a position to find out what is happening to the chemical (and other) weapons Syria has. Wouldn't want one of them to end up on a NY subway, would you?

Got a friend who is a legal American but has family in Nogales Mexico. The fence from Nogales extends about 4 miles then there is NOTHING between the borders. He says when illegals want to come to America they simply go out 4 miles from town and walk into the US. Their route is back into Nogales AZ then hitch a ride just before where the stop is on I-19. They walk through tubac along some wash/trees then get picked up near Green Valley. Every mexican in Nogales knows this, every illegal wanting in knows this, I now know this, the orangemane knows this, yet some how Barrack Obama and our border patrol doesn't.
As far as sending troops to Jordan. It's not about protecting Jordan. Don't fool yourselves.

Actually idiot one, I have stated numerous times that we need to stop sending troops to countries and basically just be targets with no clear objectives. It is the Obama supporters like yourself who can't bring themselves to criticize such things, which as one sees, you didn't. But it's predictable and the norm.
