Anyone putting out glass doors should be put out to pasture. I would think someone in Detroit would say , "Hey, let us do a concept with, get this, glass doors! I don't think it has ever been done before!"

Ironic Peugeot makes cars because if they concentrate on bicycles, it would probably pedal faster than their cars. Jag, Infiniti and McLaren concepts looked great.

really? This is where the car manufacturers promote their image as well as "concepts" that look to the future. It's not so much about the current state of affairs or the current designs but more about future possibilities and where they see their company going. It's pretty cool stuff.

There are current products too, like the Porsche Panamerica, then there are the real "out there" concepts that never come to fruition. The difference between the cubicle worker blowhard and these car shows is that the companies already have a proven history to back up their concepts.

I hate when people take the roof of a car and call it a concept, that Veyron and the MP4-12C are just convertible versions of already existing cars. The SLS appears to just have been blinged up with some nice paint and the DS-3 looks like a new hot version. The Panamero is just a slightly facelifted version of an ugly car.

I love the Jag and the Beamer - now that is how you do concepts.

Sadly, Audi has a habbit of putting their concepts into production and you just know the next A2 is going to have a convertible version with that catastrophically ugly rear arch on it.
