View Full Version : How many wins?

Now that we've seen 2 weeks of football, what does everyone think of Denver's chances? Denver has proved they are a solid contender. Even with a horrid 1st quarter in ATL, Denver bounced back nicely and was in it in the end. ATL has a good defense and had an excellent gameplan. Also given the current 'competition' in the division with the Chiefs plumetting in power rankings, the Chargers seem our only 'obstacle'. How many wins do you think Denver will have? The scheldule doesn't look near as bad now as it did a month ago with the Patriots being knocked off by Arizona, granted they'll bounce back as always but they've been declining for years. Baltimore is beatable as we've seen from Vick. If Manning shakes off that 1st quarter we're easily in the top 5 teams in the league right now.

If we can limit our turnovers and actually create some..i like our chances. 10-6.

I'm very impressed with the play of the Oline and the defense. Denver is going to be fine this year. The best team int he AFC West.

After watching Manning toss 3 picks and Moreno fumbling the ball.

3 wins

I think Denver will do 10 wins. That should be good enough for the division or wild card.

And my prediction in some other thread was I think two teams will come out of the West.

1) Can Denver avoid imploding and survive the first half of the season?

2) Will Denver still be healthy in the second half to not drop easy games?

Those are the two important questions, everything else being in order.

With the collapse of the Chiefs/Raiders it narrows the competition down to San Diego. I'm not sure how many games the Chargers are good for, to be honest. The team is so wishy washy because Norv Turner is such a poor head coach who has been riding on the coattails of sheer talent for years now. Some close games by the end of the season probably puts these teams neck and neck; in which case, I'd have Denver at 10-6.

Given our schedule, I think 10 wins is a realistic goal. Not easy though, and we could also have a pretty good squad on our hands and go 8-8.

Am trying to keep an even keel this year, and hoping that 2013 is the year where we actually make a run at the Super Bowl.

I'll give us 11 wins. No reason at all to be concerned. We really had a great shot at winning that game, even with the turnovers. If we can just get the refs off our backs.

^^^ this.

smart people understood this.

dumb people didn't.

dumb people predicted 13, 14, or 15 wins this year.

it's never been about 2012.

for Manning, Elway, Fox, and Bowlen, it's always been about 2013, 2014, and maybe 2015.

The hardest schedule I remember in past years was the year we went 13-3. I'll bet people predicted 6 wins especially after Nick Saban Dolphins pushed our stools in week one and Champ got hurt.

would love to see a bunch of wins But I do not think this team is that talented YET nor do we have much depth at all at any spot..

Couple that with what I think is a tough schedule and working it in two new schemes, one of which took years for INDY to get down let alone weeks and teh 7th DC in as many years.. we have loads of learning to do..

put me down for 8 as we speak.. after the HOU game I might want to revise it up but for now about the only gimme games I see right now are with KC and even IN KC is not easy and home with the raiders.. Lot of other iffy games..we should win but they will be close ones ..

Didn't we already participate in the same thread/poll right before the season?

Denver will be maybe a game or two over .500 - possibly squeak into the playoffs on the wildcard.
