Alright thread nazis be nice this is an actual question that has validity i think. I know its early but after a couple weeks whom would/could you see denver possibly bringing in via trade/signing? After the game tonight with the giants i would like to possibly trade slowshon for deangelo...the guy obviously doesnt fit in Carolinas scheme and is taking up alot of cap space for them. Also wouldnt mind bringing in a big Wr like Plax or some other redzone threat/depth to our Wr corp. Let me know what you would like to see!!!

Trade knoshown for Demarcus Faggins or Lance Long possibly both in a three team mega-deal.

BTW, trades rarely happen in the offseason let alone during the season. Most likely it would be a veteran who got cut before the season started.

doesnt have to be a trade also signings...and i would like to see us sign another big redzone threat to compliment DT on the other side that way we can spread the safeties and open up our TEs and slot to make plays in the middle of the field. decker just doesnt have the overall size and vertical that creates mismatches in the redzone...he could be great as a slot guy down there and line up two big guys on either side...this way plax or whomever wouldnt really need to pickup the entire offense right away just come in initially as a situational wr.

CJ, AP and Willis yeah but personally I'd hold off on Rodgers, we'll probably be able to scoop him up for a practice squad spot at season's end. Maybe with some time under Manning he can development into something.

This.

And while we're already sending a late pick to Detroit, why not bump it to a 5th and get Suh in the same deal?

We have that mismatch guy already. He is currently on suspension though. Virgil Green is a major matchup problem for opposing defenses. Too big to cover one on one with a Safety or Corner alone and too fast for a LB TO COVER

Probably a "doable" trade with the poor sdate of the Titans and Johnson's inflated contract. However, who wants to pay 9.5 million per year for a RB who is already showing major signs of slowing down?

The team will only go as far as Peyton carries it. Until the O gets comfortable week in and week out, no other changes can have near the impact. I think making any real sacrifices to try to win this year will just be a waste.

I'm inclined to agree that we shouldn't panic and start making desperate trades. I think we can be a playoff team this year for sure and once you make the postseason anything can happen... but 2013 and anything Peyton can manage beyond that is where we really should be in serious contention to go all the way.

Hopefully we then get Manning another full year of rehab and comfort in the offense.

Resign Tracy Porter and Ryan Clady.

Hopefully keep Del Rio and allow the defense a chance to get their heads around the defensive scheme.

Upgrade the LB corps, improve the DT's, bring in a quality starting WR (Greg Jennings would be fantastic if it's doable with the cap) and move Decker to the slot and then we'll really be an elite team in this league.

Only way we would make this trade is if he is willing to restructure. Moreno and a 3rd and be done. Teams game plan to stop him first seeing he's their only weapon on O.

I'd rather use the draft picks and move up in the draft for Manti Teo. That would give us the Stud MLB who is capable of being a leader! Then I would target an impact WR in FA. I had this thought after Mondays game that we can't stretch the field. I would make a move for Wallace as I suggested a few months ago and got beat up over. Greg Jennings would be a good consolation prize.. So a stud WR in FA and move up in the draft for Teo, resign our own and nail some more draft picks.

Johnson was coming off of a monster season at the time. They had nothing else on offense but a rookie Kenny Britt. Johnson was that team. And he had been working for peanuts. I think most people thought it was a nobrainer that they had to do whatever it took to keep him.

Either he has gone the Albert Haynsworth rout and given up after getting paid or his O line really sucks. Or maybe both. Either way I think the Titans deal him at some point. He isn't doing anything for them now but drawing a check.

No way we go after TE next season. Dreesen and Tamme this year and Green and Thomas last year. I would love to see us bring in Welker next season as a FA. Great replacement and upgrade from Stokley. RB is dependent on McGahee and how he finishes the year and whethet or not he is worthy of a new deal. I'd bet we sign McGahee to a 1 year deal and draft a bruiser to replace him and pair with a hopefully contributing Hillman

Seems like he has no where to run..no running lanes or holes opening up. I'm guessing teams are selling out to shut him down. Who else poses a threat on their offense?

We need speed on offense and especially at the RB position. I think McGahee has done a great job but lacks the break away speed. I think CJ would beast in this offense. Think of the Tatum Bell/Mike Anderson combo x10.

menonite

He seems to still have his speed. At least from the reports in training camp. That's why i think you may be right about it being more about his line than him slowing down.

I wonder how quickly he could pick up a new offense?

Here are some stats about Chris Johnson when paired with a mobile QB vs a non Mobile QB:

In 19 games with Vince Young at QB: 398 ATT, 2072 YDS, 18 TDs, 122 YPG, 5.2 YPC
In 25 games with Kerry Collins at QB: 433 ATT, 1930 YDS, 14 TDs, 74 YPG, 4.4 YPC
In 6 games with Matt Hasselbeck at QB: 93 ATT, 268 YDS, 1 TD, 44 YPG, 2.8 YPC

True, but for some reason the Titans aren't using Locker in the rushing game at all. They seem determined to not let him just take off and run with it. he's only rushed 4 times in the last two games. Whether those were designed runs or busted plays I couldn't say.

Speed at WR. But I wouldn't go crazy over it. We're already melding many new pieces together on offense in particular, so adding another one now might not really gel until next season anyway. I'd like to see another DL who can really rush the passer. Seemed like we kept getting caught just short of nailing matt ryan.

TO would be interesting, but his hands seem to be gone. I believe both issues will be helped greatly with the return of Virgil Green in week 5. He is far more athletic than Dreesen or Tamme and a nice target in the middle of the field; and is a big mismatch being too big for DBs and too fast for LBs. He is also a large RZ target.
