Libya: We gave US three-day warning of Benghazi attack

American diplomats were warned of possible violent unrest in Benghazi three days before the killings of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three members of his team, Libyan security officials say.

The claim came as the country's interim President, Mohammed el-Megarif, said his government had information that the attack on the US consulate had been planned by an Islamist group with links to al-Qa'ida and with foreigners taking part.cont...

No question the Obama admin. was warned ahead of time, but Obama again shows his amateur handling of foreign affairs, not to mention the idiots he hired around him. The liberals spent how much time trying to prove Bush knew 9/11 would happen, but the liberals will obviously dismiss this story since their hero is exposed. They have to spend more time attacking Romney for whatever they can imagine since even they can't come up with reasonable reasons to support Obama other than he expanded the national forest and homes for spotted owls.

We don't know that they really gave us intel. If they did, we don't know what they told us or who they told it to. We don't know specifically when they gave it to us. And we also don't know what was done with that information once we had it. Other than that, everything is crystal clear!

not counting 911, weren't there 7 attacks on consulates and embassies during Dubya's tenure? Barry? Ant?

Its a fair criticism - if the administration was aware that such an attack was likely and imminent, then other action should have been taken/warranted.

without researching it completely IIRC all of them had marine guards protecting them and IIRC most of those attack had marines that died during those attacks..

Like I said I could be wrong ..

Let me add had there been Marines there would the same outcome occured or would there have even been an attack.. Guess we will never know because Numbnuts recalled them and trusted foreigners to protect US SOIL..

Across most demographic groups, far more of those who followed news about the embassy attacks approve of Obama’s handling of the situation than approve of Romney’s statements on the crisis. And while 75% of Democrats approve of Obama’s handling of Middle East turmoil, fewer Republicans (58%) approve of Romney’s comments on the situation. http://www.people-press.org/2012/09/17/middle-east-turmoil-closely-followed-romneys-comments-viewed-negatively/

Public perceptions of McCain and Obama, a companion survey shows, largely tracked with the tenor of the press coverage’s major narrative themes.

Laughing stocks or objects of distraction?

We have embassy personnel slaughtered due to lack of protection and ignored warnings. We have at least one person in Yemen who was recently executed by crucifixion for helping the US track Islamists...

And you and yours are menstruating clots over a Romney tape.

It's not my fault that you were still in diapers when Saint Ron was in the WH and don't remember things like the bombing of those Marine barracks in Lebanon. Or about how Saint Ron ignored all the evidence and warnings that he was putting those men in harm's way.

Oh well - at least Ronnie took responsibility for that fiasco, unlike your hero Dumbya re: 9/11, Iraq, Katrina, etc.

And did the Ayatollah ever send a thank you note for that cake Ron sent him when they were setting up the arms for hostages deal? No! The nerve of that bastard! Forget the cake! What about the TOW missiles? That Ayatollah had no manners.

So the hostages weren’t released because Reagan was tough on the Iranian regime. They were released because Casey promised that the Republicans would sell Khomeini weapons if they kept the hostages for an extra couple of months and denied Jimmy Carter the sort of diplomatic coup that might have rescued his presidency.

Not only was Reagan not in fact ‘tough’ on the ayatollahs in Tehran, he later on stole Pentagon weaponry from the warehouses, illegally sold this US military materiel to a terrorist regime (that of Khomeini), then pocketed the money from the illegal arms sales to ‘Islamic terrorists’ and laundered it through shadowy bank accounts, sending it to far rightwing death squads in Nicaragua.
