#Broncos place Philip Blake on IR, CJ Davis activated to 53-man roster, Adam Grant signed to practice squad

My guess is, if Kuper is ready for week 5, Davis will go to make room for Virgil Green.

Wonder if this was a "Shanny special" (i.e. placing someone on IR who is not going to contribute anything in a given season in order to avoid the sunk costs of having to release said player)?

This sounds like the Jeremy Beal thing

IRing someone who most likely is not even injured just so they stay on the roster

Hopefully Blakes develops into something
Mayock said during the draft he had a starting grade on Blake

Fake injury. He might have the case of the sucks but he is young. Being from Baylor doesn't quite help at his position either.

If you consider being 27 before the draft young then yes.... I was pissed when we drafted this guy and I guess I was correct.

Considering the Steelers drafted Alameda Ta'amu the pick after we got Blake, I'm in your corner.

I thought they made new IR rules this year where you could IR a guy but he still be available later in the year but they also had to really be injured to get on the IR list?

Am I just old and confused after yelling at youngsters to get off my lawn?

he wasn't contributing anyway. Hopfully, he will show more promise next year.
