9. Broncos 1-0 Last Week: 13

Was Peyton Manning really wearing a Broncos jersey? Looked like he could've been rocking the Colts' horseshoe. Impressive. (Fox)

14. Chargers 1-0 Last Week: 15

The Chargers' offense could be prolific, and if it is, Norv Turner will have a better chance of holding on to his job for another year. (Fox)

19. Chiefs 0-1 Last Week: 17

The Chiefs' ballyhooed defense took a beating against Atlanta and will have to correct many mistakes against Buffalo.

25. Raiders 0-1 Last Week: 26

The Raiders of old are no more. This franchise has been revamped. (Fox)

I agree, but I think Phillip Rivers wins out every time.

So far I am seeing 10-11 really good teams, a couple mediocre teams, and then a whole lot of really bad teams.

I want Elvis Dumervil to do unspeakable things to Matt Ryan - I wouldn't be entirely dissatisfied if he dislodged a few internal organs.

Question to retarded b1tch: why did you pick New England over the 49ers for the number one spot?

Retarded b1tch: "well 49ers made a huge statement game and looked dominant against the packers, but the patriots beat the titans, and they both look so good I just had to pick one"

really?

Dear retarded b1tch. Go away.

As for the rest of the rankings, since we are putting so much stock into meaningless beat downs of **** teams by mediocre teams (Falcons at 6), why don't we go ahead and put the Jets at number one.

No, really, lets do that. You ****ing retards.

For some reason, he still has Pittsburgh (11) over Denver (12). I think I will write him an angry letter.

The Raiders actually moved up a spot? Really? After watching last nights game he only reason they should have moved up a notch is if the NFL invited Savannah State into the league as an expansion team.

SI comes out on Thursdays, you know, after they have had time to actually review each teams performance.

How can they justify SF not being #1?? Pretty sure going GB and winning against that team is a million times harder than going to Tennessee and winning...

Once again, ESPN FAIL!!

49ers are clearly the best team right now and if they had picked up Manning they'd almost automatically be the Superbowl champs.

Patriots beating up on the Titans means nothing.

Ravens win was so good that it looked too easy. It was impressive; I'd put them #2.

Denver beating Pittsburgh was also impressive; I'd slip them up further, perhaps just behind the Texans.

Brian Billick has NE #1 also. I couldn't believe it but was good for a laugh. Has Denver number 11 with 3 0-1 teams in front of them. Gave KC a bye as they were missing 2 players. What teams weren't?

I disagree, the Packer's defense is not that good and they have no running game. Denver is better than the 49ers.

Pats
Ravens
Broncos
Falcons
Bears
49ers
Cowboys
Packers

Green Bay doesn't have much of a run-game, but that doesn't stop them from scoring serious points (560 last year, #1). The 49ers defense is amazing top to bottom with a very competent offense to boot. They were a botched punt return away from the Superbowl last season and have only improved in the time since. IMO, 49ers, Ravens and Pats are the top three teams. I would be much higher on the Broncos, but I can't go all-in on the team when there's pretty much no depth. And defense still has weaknesses that are pretty much guaranteed to be tested soon enough; Wolfe-aside, of course.
