There has to be some middle ground here.

It's not greed dude...it's called pursuit of profits. do you want to earn as much money as you can? they why do you begrudge others from doing so? Who is anyone to tell anyone else how much money they should be allowed to earn? And if you allow lawmakers to limit profits and wages of CEO's, and management where does it stop? If we can limit their wages, then what's to stop lawmakers from limiting YOUR wages?

Without a profit, the corporation goes out of business, which means people become unemployed...and contrary to popular belief the small business owner loses big time if his business fails, not his employees.

the owners of a business assume all the risks of the business failing, why shouldn't they reap the rewards when it succeeds?

I cashed in my 401K to start my business....I worked about 100 hours a week until my business became self sufficient, I cut personal expenses out and my family and I did without a lot of things like buying clothes at Goodwill store instead of the mall, buying generic over the counter toiletries and canned goods, doing my own mechanic work, no cable or satellite TV, no internet, taking Navy showers, running around constantly shutting lights off in order to keep it going until that day came when we were profitable....

my employees assumed none of that financial risk nor did they suffer through those growing pains, add in that I'm liable or have to spend more money if THEY **** something up...if my business had failed, I would have been out of the 401K money I used...my employees wouldn't have lost **** other than the job that I gave them.

I stood to lose EVERYTHING, my home, my retirement, and anything else I had paid for or was paying for had my business not become successful....

....and trust me, if a company is limited in how much of a profit they can make or you tell them they're not allowed to make a profit, then they will cut expenses, and the most controllable expense a business has is labor..
