Why in the hell am I not a long snapper? That is one of the best career choices you could possibly make. Hopefully this is the last time I hear his name.

Lon did a good job. He'll catch on somewhere. I'd keep he and Mike Leach's numbers on speed dial just in case.

No kidding. If I'm the opposing coach, I set up a 305lb NT right in front of him, take a 5 yard penalty for offsides and send Brewer flying to get in his head. :giggle:

If that's what it takes for us to get some free first downs, let's get the entire team 160 lbs or less...

you are no longer allowed to line anyone up over the long snapper on kicks

I think that's what he meant by the penalty?

Good to see we're pulling out all the stops to make sure Peyton never regrets his decision to skip that 40,000 sq mile trailer park otherwise known as Tennessee.

This guy could send a punt snap straight into the stands.

Just how many snaps do you expect Peyton will take from this guy?

Damn, can you imagine the **** he takes from the real players on the teams. WTF does he just hang out with the punters and kickers all practice? What a life that must be.

You never want to notice the long snapper. If nobody knows who he is, it means he is killing it.

This was all about the money.....I hope it's worth the $500k/yr we saved.

Paxton was proven in big games...big situations.

How about this kid?

The dude was a snapper. Perhaps the easiest job in the NFL. Think about it. How many bad snaps do you see every year in the NFL? Out of the thousands of snaps how many fly over the head of the punter, holder? Not very many and I imagine this guy is just as serviceable as the last one at more than half the price.

Damn snappers should play at a $75,000 max and they would still be over paid.

How many games did we win last year that had the long snapper as a pivotal player? Hint- its more than three

I wouldn't take all that travel and practice for 75k. Especially if I could be making 100k in financial analysis.

Yeah, like he's never had that done to him. He's in the NFL, I don't think somebody plowing him over is going to get in his head. I'm sure it's been done to him several time. As long as the dude can snap the ball with accuracy and consistency without a huge contract, that's all that matters.

long snapping is not that difficult. How many times this week did a long snapper hike the ball over the punter's head? How many times did they snap it too high or too low on a FG attempt?

Paying a long snapper over $1 million a year is very silly.
