Yeah, and I don't think he can go on PUP because he participated in training camp? Maybe I'm wrong.

No he can go on PUP. Especially since he hasn't played.

LOL he would never make it to the PS. Would get snatched up on Waivers.

I don't know, he hasnt been able to make the field, it would be a risky move a la Hixon but if he is not ready or healthy I wouldn't waste a roster spot on him.

Did Knowshon just run HARD on that play? WTF did I just see?

Honestly, I think he usually runs hard. I agree with a lot of the criticism of him not getting upfield fast enough, but before his injury last year I remember he was a guy who visibly was fighting to the end of every tackle. I think it would be a mistake to cut him for a guy like Ball, who's upside I have yet to see even a flash of.

Is there any sign they even let anyone try? Given how much adjustment time Manning and his center need, there is no way they even considered switching it up by the time camp came around. As they said, Walton was one of the first people Manning started spending time with when he signed. He's got a year to prove his ass is worthy of Peyton's hands.

Why is Willis in for DT?

Lycan
08-26-2012, 02:34 PM
Yeah, I say we go ahead and run with 4 backs. McGahee, Hillman, Moreno and Ball.

That would set us up pretty decently for a 2 back system, Willis for the tough, solid runner and Hillman for the shifty 3rd down back. Then Moreno backs up Hillman and Ball backs up McGahee.

broncocalijohn
08-26-2012, 02:34 PM
Moreno is very quick laterally, but VERY slow north and south.

He is using his free hand to what it can push him to 110%. This is why he is a good player out of the backfield and not through he tackles. Hillman being hurt only helps Moreno.

Dressen is the TE to go to for that needed catch but Tamme made a great play before that TD.

Fair enough. It was a very nice play. He seems to block well too. Solid backup, just never seen much vision from him. Until Hillman gets a year under his belt, I just think Moreno's the type of option that could be valuable in this offense. SoCal's right, though, that we probably go with 4 guys, with Oman/Johnson being the real threat for Knowshon.

Von Miller didnt take a dive on that play.. Moore is the one caught picking buggers when he should have been on Vernon like white on rice.

Actually Moore played the averages and had the right reaction to the most likely route combo, what he thought it was is what it usually is 90% of the time the routes develop like they did in front of him. Unfortunately, it was a slant-wheel and not a slant-flat. It is hard to recognize the difference until its almost too late even if you are doing everything right.

Just going by what I have seen. When Walton is on a d-lineman 1 on 1 he is getting pushed back. When he has help or is sliding to help he has looked solid.
