Just found out I got permission to go with my brother inlaw to the Denver KC game on Nov. 25th.

Questions

Should we buy tickets now or wait ?

Where are the best places to sit for broncos fans. 200 hundy range on the tickets

What hotels near by are good.

anything else I should know ?

Thanks

I'd wait. Chorf fans are still excited. They'll be dumping tix later.

Best place to sit? It's arrowhead. The whole place is a **** hole. Get near the lower bowl 50 if you can afford it. Why wouldn't you? 200 hundred should do it. Get behind the Broncos bench and let the boys know you are there. Bring a 3x5 Broncos flag with you to wave. That always gets their home crowd going.

Hotels? Broncos stay right downtown. Forget the name. Haven't been in a few years but years ago there was only one decent place. It's where they stay. Westin? Lot's of fun.

I'm sure someone will chime in. We all met up there and partied in the bus.

Have fun!

Sweet! I'll be going to this game as well. Good buddy of mine used to work for the chiefs, and lives out in KC.

You should start looking at tickets now, there might be something available early. Last year the Chiefs didn't fill their stadium to more than 75%, so its possible there is still some apathy out there... although the guys on the radio out there are delusional and think the chiefs have all the right tools in place.

There is only one hotel near the stadium - The Drury Inn, I believe. The Stadium is out in bumfart no where Missouri, about 10-15 minutes from downtown. I'd recommend staying near the Plaza rather than downtown, though the Broncos will likely stay at the Westin at the Crown Center downtown.

Another recommendation I would give is to stay at the Ameristar Casino. The Casino is Vegas quality and it has nice rooms. Problem is its kinda pricey if I remember. Its north of the stadiums about 15 minutes, but its a straight shot down 435 to Kaufman and Arrowhead.

You really should go eat at Oklahoma Joe's and get a half rack of ribs and the Z-Man sandwhich. The Z-man is off the charts good.

Be sure to get there early. The tailgating is awesome. Some of the best food I've ever had was out there and people will let you have some if you trade for a bud light or two. People are really nice too (unless you're a Raiders fan looking for trouble).

I check stub hub and the 50 yard line tickets start at 400 and go up to like 1100. This is the Chiefs I figured 400 would get me box tickets. Anyways thanks for the input. I will be with a few KC fans so I hope not to get as bad as ****. Would like to meet up with a few broncos tail gating up there if possible as well.

KC's a good city for some of the best BBQ ever and truly good mid-western folk and hospitality. The jackass fans can be a problem but we have them every where. You can walk up to most anyone in a KC tailgate and they'll do all but offer you their daughters even with a Broncos jersey on as long as you don't run your mouth like any jackass fan can. Great football city. I don't care what anyone says.

The nice thing about Kansas is, these girls are just trying to get off the flatts....they're scattered everywhere and that's what makes the state so "Not Flat" but you can't break the college element. Try as you might they're ruined in that respect.

I dont know about that. The KC Mulletheads would call them "Johnny come latelies" and laugh as they drive past them in their 84 IROQ.

TO the OP, who would really admit they are from KC?

It's kinda like a disability, you are usually born with or have no choice in the matter. So you have to options. Hide from it and let it rule you or try and make the best of it.

I lived in Kansas City (Olathe) from 1989 to 2009 before moving to San Diego and ultimately Colorado.

I've been to Mile High, Qualcomm and Arrowhead. Qualcomm is a dump. The damn place is (literally) falling apart. The old Mile High was an experience, to be sure! Arrowhead, in my humble opinion is the finest stadium in the AFC West - hands down. I can't speak to anything after 2004 - last time I was there - but up to that point, it was a fine venue.

Folks there are super friendly and won't give you "too much" jazz. BBQ is unequaled (along with the tailgaiting). I have not seen the place since the renovations but as I understand it, it is something to see. Museums, restaurants, etc. Don't recall there being an abundance of hotels close by, but there are several within 5 miles or so. Downtown there is the Sprint Center and the Power and Light District. LOTS of good spots there to hear live music and drink a beer or three.

You should have a good time!

You are correct, but the mid-1990's camaro proves that the man driving that car is a success. We are talking about a few hundred dollars more to roll in that ride...

I had a decent experience at Arrowhead, on my one and only trip. Tailgate is awesome. Food was great. Fans are cool for the most part. Pretty much like Mile High, you'll get the business as people get progressively drunker, but nothing like that abortion in Oakland or Philly fan. Camarohead is a loud outdoor venue. KC is all about the food. Night life was below average.

Arrowhead's a good stadium. Like anywhere else, there are fans that think they're tough and try to pick fights but the stadium experience overall is very good. I usually sit nose bleeds, as I don't think you're going to find any tickets for $100 behind the bench.

But I'd wait on getting tickets, as they will probably go down as the season progresses.

Tailgating is awesome and the fans are friendly until things go badly and they are drunk................a majority of the time even with my wife and kids along they get mouthy and even vulgar.

I put up with it until I get the wife and kids down the stairs out of their reach and then they get told what I thought of their mouth.

We cheer for our team...never attacking the home team Chiefs....because I would expect the same opposing team fans in MILE HIGH.......you know respect your neighbors and don't talk badly about the folks who invited you over type of stuff. Basic stuff your parents teach you...................

Just be prepared for it..........

Far as good seats look on think it is nfl.com....the one they advertise for tickets on the network because they have a layout of the stadium so you can get an idea where to sit and there were some great deals on there last year.................

agree on waiting....prices will come down................

Couple of years ago Cutler and Broncos came into Arrowhead and Cutler threw a couple of INT's and stunk it up...........typical Chief rudeness and cussing.

On my way out I told the assholes their behavior was uncalled for period let alone with women and children around. Best part was telling them THEY WOULDN'T WIN ANAOTHER GAME THAT YEAR SO ENJOY THIS ONE...........THEY ONLY WON ONE MORE GAME THAT YEAR SO I
WAS CLOSE..................LOL

i agree, if you wait a few weeks into the season, chiefs fans will dump the tickets on stub hub. I have went the last 4 years. I paid about $10-$30 per ticket each year for the last 4 years. Just sat in the upper deck. No bad seat in the house.

Stay either downtown by the power and light, or in the plaza (downtown). Plenty of fun things to do in both spots. If you want to party hard, go to power and light, if you want a chill night out, go to plaza. Although sometimes the plaza gets wild depending on where your at.

I think the stadium away from downtown is what seperates arrowhead from most all other NFL stadiums. Thats why the tailgate is so good. Its hard to tailgate in Chicago/New York/seattle because there isnt as much room.

Is big red chief still posting at the planet? I did get a kick out of that guy last time we were out there. The Kansas City star did do an article on our tailgate. The headline was "Broncos fans beat the chiefs at their own game/Tailgating". lmfao!

You guys certainly have a good tailgate scene. No doubt about it. You chief fans aren't that bad either if you really want me to be honest. It's just fun bagging on your team and quite frankly the city. :) As far as people go you are ok in my book. Minus boob.

Oh and I think I offered that dude that wears the tights and the yellow arrow on his head a beer but I don't think he took it. He was too busy pulling up his panty hose.

It's not that hard to build up places immediately surrounding Arrowhead. Yes it's nostalgic to hit up Funhouse, HiBoy and Gates while you're right there by Sterling, but they need to off that Adams Mark and put up something a tad classier. It's definitely a site though, to see Arrowhead in all it's glory on the inside, live.
