the ball really does explode out of his hand. I watched a lot of ASU last season, but it was hard to judge based on the 25 WR screens per game

I was sitting about 2 yards in the end zone row 3 and was very impressed by both the throw and catch.

Great game to take the kids to!

that was a great timing throw. he set his feet, went through his reads and threw it into a tight window.

i can tell he's gonna drive us nuts with trying to get away with certain throws. but man alive is he gonna be fun to watch if he develops properly.

He is a gunslinger type, isn't he? ;D

Somebody should ask him if his arm is as strong as Elway's was.

Looks like he reverted back to his college mechanics on that play. Reports coming out of camp were saying he hasn't been throwing with that sidearm motion, he did on that play

That was a major league throw. Kid looks real good.

Wait! What?

This is a PG-rated site, my friend. Next time you decide to post something like this, could you at least give us an "NSFW?"

It was a nice throw, but "went through his reads?"

Am I watching the same play?

haha yeah, if went through his reads means he read his first option and went with it, then yeah, he went through his reads

He's really fast, Beavis.

Really fast.

Early days but it has been encouraging stuff from Brock.

I know it frustrated some people that we made the pick at the time, I get that people felt we were in "win now" mode and should have tried to get a weapon for Manning or another good defender, but having a QBOTF was crucial with Manning's age.

Brock seems to have all the physical tools, and you couldn't ask for a better mentor to learn the mental side of the game from than Peyton Manning. Hopefully he'll have plenty of time to develop and can be completely ready when the time comes for him to take over from Peyton and we won't have to endure a few painful years of trying to find a good QB again.

Exactly right. I'm an ASU homer and have seen all of Brock's games. The thing I liked about him from day 1 at ASU was that he really has some good jock mojo going for him, and as a fan I felt confident in the kid. It seemed like the players felt the same way.

What's with the Broncos anyway, bringing in all of these Sun Devils? BTW, how is Bolden doing?

Glad we got Osweiler.

He sort of throws like Rivers.

What's up with Hill running right past him and not high fiving him...

He probably thought Brock was going to try to the ball away from him. ROFL!

Actually, I noticed both him and Hanie both had a very quick release. Go back and watch the tape, you'll be surprised at how fast Hanie's release is.

It was half and half. Which is still progress considering it was live fire. It wasn't as low and side armed as last season, but not as high as I'm sure they want to get it.

Agree. He has to work on keeping his elbow above his shoulder when throwing the ball. Sidearmers get blocked alot, and accurracy suffers. He did do well there, but I thnk that was as much the Bears as it was a good play by Ozzy. Other throws he made were better.

He plays so tight to the chest, too. Pretty much the opposite of Tebow.
