Brock Osweiler!

Brock Freaking Osweiler!

I'm going to put myself out there on this. I'm a gambler, by nature. So here it goes. Let's do this!

I like this kid.

This thread is about all things Brock Osweiler!

I predict this thread will end up in the Ring of Fame. One day, we'll all be sitting around our virtual living room, talking about #6's 300th TD pass, and someone will say, "Whoa! Brock Osweiler! Who saw that coming?"

And someone - maybe KramerAurelia (1st post = TODAY) - with his/her 30,000th post - will say, "DomCasual! THAT'S WHO!"

And someone else will say, "Good take, KramerAurelia! Man, thanks for being such an asset to this board! This place hasn't been the same, since you signed up!"

So, back to Brock. He's GOT to be the backup this year, right? I mean - Caleb Hanie? Please!

Let's share some Osweiler trivia. I'll go first. Before Brock started against the University of Oregon's Ducks on 11/14/2009 (my daughter's 3rd birthday, for those of you keeping score at home), who was the last true freshman to start a game for Arizona State?

I honor the mission the two (one?) of you have taken on. There is nothing, save painful medical procedures and/or long-sleeved shirts, that can be done to spare Brock Osweiler from Tattoo Regret Syndrome (TRS). But if our efforts help just one child from someday making a similar mistake, then it will have been worth it.

As for Brock the QB, I really feel he's had a great impact on Peyton Manning this year.

Any word if the dude has corrected his tat? I hope he has or does before he is the starter in a couple years. Otherwise we're going to have Raiders fans trying to correct our grammar, because sometimes they learn how to read and write while they're in prison.
And if they don't, some asshole on ESPN will point it out to them.

Also, I plan on using "brock" as a term of gratitude and degradation in the future.

For example, you hand me a beer - "Brock you very much fine sir."
You knock the beer out of my hand - "Brock you tuna breath!"

If I was Adam Gase, I would get Peyton together with Brock so that Peyton could pick Brock's brain a little about how he was able to get them into the end zone. Peyton has got to stop being so anemic in the red zone, if we are going to have any chance of winning some playoff games.

It wouldn't surprise me, at all, to see them put in some plays for Osweiler in the red zone. Let Peyton do what he does best, which is driving them down the field into the red zone. And then turn it over to Brock to finish the deal.

I like to think Peyton would be okay with this. He wants that second ring. It may hurt his feelings, a little, to need the young guy to step in to help him score. But at the end of the day, I hope he's willing to do whatever it takes to keep winning.

Oh, no doubt. I can also envision a scenario where they bring in Teebs for the playoffs. I mean, anybody in their right mind hasn't yet given up on him revolutionizing the game. Can you imagine an opponent having to deal with the prospect of either Twilight or Teebs coming in when the Broncos are in the red zone? There's just no way a defense could prepare for this. It would be an unprecedented dual red done juggernaut. I get the chills just thinking about it. Gase could probably even design a package where they'd line up together. Oz under center and Timmy as an h-back?

The parallels to the same type of DERP that was rampant during the Orton years is what I find so funny.

I rarely assume stupid posts are anything other than earnest on this forum. Besides Dom has been an Osweiler fan from the beginning as I recall. If someone doesn't "/sarcasm" at the end of their post I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt.

If it works on Peyton, just think what the Bears would try to do to pull Brock from the Broncos. If the offer isn't good enough, I might trade Peyton and go with Mr. Red Zone instead.
