Surprised there hasn't been a thread about the matchup.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- If there is another team that knows best what to expect from the Chicago Bears’ passing game, it is the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos are the team that first put Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall and Jeremy Bates together, drafting Cutler and Marshall and hiring Bates as an offensive assistant (he later because receivers coach and quarterbacks coach) in 2006.

“I think it’s going to be great for Jay to have Jeremy Bates and Brandon Marshall there,” said Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley. “They started doing something really special here. I think Chicago is going to be fortunate to have that group back together. I think they are going to have a really good team this year.”

“Cutler, hopefully I can hit him a couple times,” Dumervil said. “He is a good quarterback and I’m sure those guys are going to be competing at a high level. It will be a good test for us.”

I actually think if Cutler is going to have a good year, it's going to be this one. I think either he really brings it all together or it's more of the same and heralds the beginning of the end for his career as a starter.

Cutler might hit 40 tds this year.

I'm thinking about starting a support group for people who really don't give a care about preseason. I had to say that, I feel better, and now I'm out...

I have no ill feelings towards Cutler and hope he (and Brandon) have a great season. But this Thursday, I hope he meets Mr. Von Miller...

Exactly, he'll be lucky to finish the whole season. The skill positions are good but OL is garbage.

how long will Manning play this preseason?

Im thinking 1 series longer than usual since he has been gone for so long..

Much respect to Jay and the Bears. Don't think the starters on either side will see much action so I don't think we can get a good read on where we are at

Hope Doom rocks his world on the first snap. After that just don't get anyone else injured.

I'm hoping for 2 series.

Manning and the OL need all the reps they can get, since everyone that has watched this team has said the OL is struggling.

Changed to something that could be true this year too.

Hope he remembers to bring his murse. Kristen is going to be like so pissed off if he doesn't doesn't have his phone to call her at halftime and make smoochy sounds for Mr. Biggles.

a friend of mine lives in Chicago and has tickets that he's giving me. I'm pumped to be there. Only get to see the Broncos play in person once every couple years so it will be exciting even if it is only a preseason game.

Preseason more important then is used to be because the players don't hit as much in camp or OTA's anymore.

kaylore you honestly think if cutler has a down year he's going to have the bears start thinking about replacing him?

looking forward to the game. I guess its gonna be on channel twenty in denver? I assume due to the Olympics?

It just depends on how Cutler does. If he plays well but Bears come up short I think he could still be popular in Chicago. But i agree with Kaylore that his time to prove what a great trade that was is this yr in a lot of people eyes.

that's the replay for non-locals which many are.

Live would be on CBS4 in Denver, 6:30pm and simulcast throughout the state on other regional local networks. KKTV11 usually has it for SoCol (Colo Spgs, Pueblo).

The Broncos changed local affiliates to NBC last year. So, in Denver, for pre-season, it would usually be Channel 9. However, the Olympics will be on 9, so it will be live on KTVD Channel 20.

It's put up or shut up time for Cutler. Not preseason, but regular season. He's led one team in six years to the playoffs. Don't think people notice that.

Cutler might hit 40 tds this year.

I think he is more likely for 30 INT's than 40 TD's.
