I for one think the complete opposite. The other is more fast paced as its happening. Keep this as a more detailed thread for his camp report.

Thanks for reporting ultimate!

Observation:

Brock was the first QB outside throwing before camp started. Oddly when the rest of players took the field camp started with punt return and punt protection practice. Punt returns were Decker, Thompson, and Drayton.

Then came some half speed scrimmage. Team broke for stretching. At about 930 team broke up into position squads. I was by the trees by the far endzone. All the WR were practicing their route running. Oddly minus the QBs. Point being all WR run the route tree. The difference running the route tree and doing the route tree with a QB that can complete it with you (something the punt protector couldn't do).

QBs:
Peyton Manning: What can I say about the guy that hasn't been said already. The guy is like a freaking jugges machine. Every time the ball came out of his hands it would hit his WR in his hands. Manning did have about 4incomplete passes. 2 were throw aways and 2 were due to great coverage. Something of note. Manning threw a checkdown and during 7-7 drills he threw the ball rigid fifth. progression instead of tuck and run after reading the first 2 reads.

Best of the rest:
Caleb Hanie most likely will be the game day backup. He did throw a pick to the "Duke" #39? He just seemed most ready to come off the bench.

Brock Oswiler:
He's a rookie. He's going to make mistakes. Threw no interception, but threw into coverage twice, and one over throw to TE.

The worst:
Adam Webber threw two interception into triple coverage. Practice squad for a reason.

UltimateHoboW/Shotgun

RBs :
Not a lot of running today. Lot of play action though. there is a reason being able to take a snap from under center is so important. A lot of roll outs, sprint right options and QB key pass right plays you can use.

Willis McGahee : had a stretch run left that he was able to now a big run. And caught a ball out of the back field.

Lance Ball: ran with the second team. No catches. Ran a couple of times up the middle for little or no gain.

J Johnson: did nothing
Mario Fanin : did nothing
K Moreno: Did nothing except catch swing passes on pocket shuffle drill.
Austin sly: had one catch on a FB flat route.
Growk : had two catches on FB flat routes.

TEs :
I'm going to start this section with the worst. #82 C. Ingram. Targeted multiple times and multiple drops.

J Thomas: dressed but didn't line up.
A Miller: did nothing
Best of the rest:
J Dreessen : made a great catch over the middle off a skinny post.
V Green : nice catch on a 5 yard out.

The best of the bunch.
J Tamme : made only one catch, but he can real stretch the defense.

WR :

Best of the bunch:
D Thomas: didn't have a drop all practice. Ran beautiful routes.

E Decker: Had one drop. But ran THE best route of the day against Champ. It started out with a stem out and go that turned Champ around, then Decker ran a dig and turned around a third time to the corner and had Champ grasping at air.

Best of the rest:
#15 was ok. hard time getting open three drops. forget about getting the deep fades, couldn't catch up to those passes.
#89 G Orton big guy. hard time getting separation. did have a nice catch over the middle on a deep post for a TD.

That's it for the highlights all the other WR did little to nothing.

DB's:

Moore ran with the 1st teamers. Duke ran with the 2nd teamers.

Best of the Bunch:
Champ: Period. Other than that catch he gave up to Decker, Champ was solid.
Tracy Porter: We got this guy on a one year deal. Lets get this guy done on something longer. Nobody got open on him.
Chris Harris: I think he's got the Nickel back almost sewn up. He was on WR like white on rice.
Tony Carter: made a pick but he's a 3rd teamer.
Duke: Made a pick. Ran with the 2nd team. Hope he makes the team as a "big nickel" DB

Best of the rest:
Everybody else did well. No big mistakes. Couple of guys got beat deep but didn't give up any deep passes and they were 3rd teamers.

LB's
Notes: WWW was starting WLB. Most of the time LB's were facing away from me so I did see a lot. I did see #49 J Franklin make a interception on 2nd team. (note: there are 2 #49's on the team. J Franklin and C Gronkowski)

lol I see it more of just telling the truth.... that dude is a headcase who couldn't "wrestle" for sheeet (dropped Bobby Heenan on his face) ... minutes before he was to wrestle he went to Vince & told him he wasn't going out if he didn't get X amount of dollars on top of what his contract called for... Vince paid it but promptly fired him after his match.. present day he was just sued by a memorabilia dealer who claims the warrior stiffed him for 28k, no charges have been filed but just more evidence this dude is a complete flake, go back to porn Mr. Hellwig lol

Actually I'm a huge Tebow fan. The thing, is after watching football for 30years there are somethings that QBs need to do. Period. If your guy isn't doing these things he has limited the team. Period.

Sorry, it just irked me that within your very first 3 posts giving camp updates, each one contained an anti-Tebow jab. Just seemed unnecessary and childish.

I (and we all) really do appreciate the updates though! We can't be there, so any news is good news!

That fine. And I was, because a lot of Tebow fans need to see what QBing in the NFL is really like. And I'm a huge Tebow, but I'm gigantic Broncos fan and I hate anybody that monkeys with my franchise!!!

When you go from Orton, to Tebow to Manning, it really does shock you into realizing what a horrible throwing QB Tebow was and how average Orton is. It's just the way it is.

If there was a way to gene splice Orton arm and Review drive and heart I would be ok with that. To bad Orton would panic in the face of any pressure. Tebow would run head first into a charging bull. Can we meet in the middle on this one people! Manning is like this perfect cyborg with built in CPU.

What DT said was an over simplification of a process. We all know the route tree. I showed the picture. Short of being handicapped we all can run the tree. Today they had some ballboy throwing the tree with WR. But until you get to run the tree with your starting QB, the process is incomplete.
