Can you believe it it.. Thursday marks 50 years since Jagger played his first gig with a band called the Rolling Stones, and the group is marking its half-century with no letup in its productivity or rock ‘n ‘ roll style. Jagger himself is still the cool, rich frontman of the world’s most successful rock band.

The superbowl halftime show just called for their retirment. Gotta love the stones but its time for them to hire a voiceover for micki or just 'let it be'.

Saw them in 99 at McNichols (great seats, about 10 up the first section, dead center). They were awesome then. The greatest rock band ever.

I saw them at the LA Forum in 1969. The Get Your Ya Yas Out tour. Never seen anybody better. Before or since. Saw them about five or six times after that, but they never topped that one. I always preferred the Mick Taylor version of the Stones.

I saw them in 1988 at a stadium concert, because I was thinking "this may be one of the last opportunities to see them."
