Yeah, boyee!! I was there!! :strong::yayaya:

Still can't believe it. I was one of the few people I knew of who believed the Broncos had a great shot at pulling the upset. Then when it happened, they had spent so much time explaining the new overtime rules I mistakenly thought the Steelers had one more chance to try to match it. But then I saw all the cameramen and people from the sideline going on the field and realized it was over. And then the pandemonium began. We stayed at our seats and partied for probably half an hour or more. Unbelievable.

Best Tebow moment ever. Probably my best sports moment ever. (As awesome as it was watching the Super Bowls, I wasn't there.) It's that play that would've made me never forgive Elway had he replaced Tebow with say, Weeden or Tannehill. Tebow's gone, but I will always remember that moment. Hopefully Manning will be able to deliver many other great moments like it.

Does anyone honestly really care about any ESPY award? I think its a bunch of crap, but whatever.

Loved that play though. My favorite play would've been Champ's pick of Brady in the playoffs but he didn't end up scoring on the play.

So even now, when a play by the Broncos wins an award, seem feel the need to still take shots at Tebow. Weird. Yet some pine for the days of Cutler, who was a jackass to teammates and coaches. Even more weird.

I saw Champs pick live and Tebow/DT's walk off last year. I have only been to ten or so Bronco games in my 32 years and I always pick the best ones. The only exception being the Dante Hall game @ Arrowhead. I was sick to my stomach after that loss. It only got worse when I saw the highlights of the uncalled penalties.

I still rate this as the most exciting, instantaneous play in Bronco history. It sure had me jumping out of my easy chair at home. I feel the Elway helicopter play is in a slightly different category as the greatest Bronco play ever, all things considered (led to first SB win). Bronco fan for 50 years.

Huh? He (finally) hit a WR in stride and that's the best Tebow moment ever? Half the stadium was screaming that DT was singled up and praying for a pass before the snap. That play was Thomas, Thomas, and Thomas. A single play should have been something like his TD run against the Jets, or when he scrambled against the Vikings and finally found DT, who beat a couple of guys and scored.

Do you have a better one? He put the ball right on the money. I'm not taking anything away from DT (he obviously outran everybody too), but in my book that was Tebow's best moment as a Denver Bronco. So what would you choose instead? The Bears game? Nah, that was mostly Prater and Marion Barber :~ohyah!:. The Chiefs game at the end of the season? Um, no... :redbutt: I'd give honorable mention on his TD run to beat the Jets, but that was a regular season game against a non-playoff team. The Pittsburgh game was a playoffs game against the STEELERS, in overtime, ONE PLAY that sent Rapistburger and co. packing, and for once, Tebow actually looked like a quarterback in that game. I don't see how you could beat that one play, that one moment for Tebow memories, and I was at several of his miraculous comebacks at Mile High last year.

The whole deal baffles me. Dude gave his all to this team, accomplished some downright amazing things, and all he receives from many Bronco fans is scorn. It's really disgusting. Even if you didn't like how he played, how can you deny that the kid did everything he could to help us win, and how does that not earn some respect? I just don't get it.

I congratulated him, I even deleted the bad things I was going to say about how he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn for 55 minutes of all but like 2 games and how the Patsy's wrote the book on how to stop him and how he only scored 3 points against KFC with the playoffs on the line or how Marion Barber gave him 2 chances so he could go to the playoffs and make that throw but I decided against it because I thought he earned that much praise.

Thanks for bringing all that up!

Reaction from fellow nominees:

The Tampa Bay Rays, nominated for their dramatic walkoff win over the Yankees in Game 162 of last year's regular season, had some choice words for Tebow and ESPN on Twitter.

"To be fair about ESPYs," @RaysBaseball tweeted, "Tim Tebow hardly ever gets mentioned on ESPN so it was nice to see him finally get recognized. #Game162wasbetter."

Similarly upset was junior college baseball player Derrick Salberg, whose incredible leaping catch was robbed of recognition as well. He had some much more pointed language for Tebow in his tweet: "God damnit..now I gotta listen to tebow talk."

Pretty hilarious at the reaction of this college bozo and the Rays. This was a fan voting process. Before the ESPYs I had no idea of either moments by these 2 crybabies.

All you have to do is look at the Rays stadium on gamedays, and how empty it is to realize they wouldn't win a FAN voting award.

No, you get over it and maybe grow up a little bit. Someone taking shots at Elway after taking a team headed nowhere to a playoff win, the first one in 5 years, would be considered an idiot, but since you don't like Tebow for likely idiotic reasons, it's no big deal.

Whether you like it or not, one facet of playing professional football is that there will be critics and haters. It comes with the territory particularly for QBs and crying about it isn't going to change that.

Criticism happens to every NFL QB; not just Tim Tebow. And for the most part, the criticism of Tim Tebow is that at the pro level, QBs are expected to consistently put the ball where it has to be to complete the pass and so far, Tebow has struggled to do that. Emphasis on the word "consistently". A player who wants to play the QB position yet lacks essential QB tools is going to face criticism every. single. time. he fails to complete a pass. And that is not "irrational" or "idiotic"; it's as predictable as clockwork.

BS. The main arguments in the beginning about Tebow had little to do about his throwing, but more to do with praying, abortion, and supposed Tebow fans running amok in the forum, a whopping all 4 of them. As he played, his throwing, etc. were then added to make one feel they now had football reasons, so now had more credibility. Sorry, but I was watching the forums and this happened. You can pretend it didn't since you fall into hate Tebow at any cost for whatever silly reason, but that is reality. The team was WINNING yet some were not happy about it, probably including you and gave every excuse why Tebow should not be given credit for anything. They even win a playoff game, with Tebow throwing the winning score and some were either downbeat about it or wanted to pretend Thomas caught a ball from outer space and scored. Face it, you didn't like Tebow from the start, among others, so any excuse, no matter how weak and stupid it could be, would do.

Tebow would have won over everyone... including Fox and Elway... if he had been able to consistently put the football where it had to be to complete his passes.... in short, if his aptitude to be an NFL starting QB had actually been able to cash the checks his circus was writing. The rabid fans were only problematic because of their strident insistence that a QB who clearly wasn't ready to start... must be given the starting job regardless. With each year Tebow's in the league, more and more fans are realizing... acknowledging... that he isn't ready to start... and perhaps never will be. He was... and still is... a project.

Look, Peyton Manning is over-hyped as well... but the difference is Manning's performance on the football field justifies the hype. One over-hyped guy is a future first-ballot HOF'er; the other over-hyped guy is entering his third NFL season buried on the depth chart behind a mediocre starter. I'm glad the Broncos' 2012 starter is the guy who can consistently put the football where it needs to be.

But the bottom line is... just like Brister and Plummer and Griese and Cutler and Frerotte and Orton... Tebow is gone and he isn't coming back. So in the grand scheme of things, what does it matter why any Bronco fan did or did not like him? ???
