NFL wins bounty arbitration ruling

"The NFL Players Association challenged Goodell's power to impose penalties for what the league says was a three-year bounty program that targeted specific players. Stephen Burbank, a University of Pennsylvania law professor, took only five days to determine that Goodell has the power to punish the players under the collective bargaining agreement reached last August to end the lockout."

What's amusing is the NFLPA wasting everyone's time when they know the Commish can do what he did.

That is one of the players outs gone, we are still waiting for the ruling from Das on the contention that discipline can not be imposed on things that happened before the CBA was signed - I expect that ruling to go for the NFL as well, especially given the combination of the late discovery of harm (after the CBA) and the active obstruction of previous investigations by the players.
