Surprised nobody commented on this yesterday:

John Elway tells Mike Klis that the team's GM duties have essentially been divided between Matt Russell, Keith Kidd, and Mike Sullivan; Klis notes that former Denver salary cap manager Mike Bluem has found employ with Indianapolis, while Brian Xanders is reportedly considering multiple offers.

All this means is that we don't have a GM and Elway is large and in charge. The end.

The article doesn't adequately delineate who will be getting the pizzas

Elway rules with absolute monarchy, he wields unrestricted and total power over the Bronco's organazation and it's fans .........

Yep, looks like each of those guys is in charge for each of their specialties and Elway is overseeing them.

Dove Valley is a better class of FO than pizza now. Filet mignon and various expensive bottles of wine replace dominos and juice boxes.

Back to the way it should be... having the front desk girl take the orders and calling Dominos.

Elway's phrasing (not including himself in that group) indicate that Elway has been in that role the entire time and that Xanders was basically just a middle man managing all the different facets of the team (college scouting, pro scouting, cap).

Makes it pretty clear why Elway viewed him as expendable. The guys in charge of those groups appear to be quite capable, why have an intermediary filter between them and Elway?

sounds exactly like that and it allows Elway to continue to develop as an exec.

You know, I was honestly going to post this. I even had the title and body in the form.... but I closed the window cause I figured BroncoRob had already cutted and pasted it. I guess he missed this one.

I don't see the difference. They are both about almost doing something.
