Former President Bill Clinton suggested in a television interview Thursday that he believes President Obama's re-election campaign should stop trashing Mitt Romney's work in the private equity industry.
In an interview with CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight," Clinton, a top Obama surrogate who is set to raise cash with the president next week, directly contradicted Democrats who have attacked Romney's business record, suggesting it does qualify him for president.
"I think he had a good business career," Clinton told guest host Harvey Weinstein, a movie mogul who is one of Obama's top fundraisers. "There's no question that in terms of getting up and going to the office and, you know, basically performing the essential functions of the office, the man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold."
Adding that he has "friends" in the private equity business," Clinton suggested it was dangerous for Democrats to go after Romney's record at Bain Capital—adding that in private equity, "like everything else you try, you don't always succeed" in saving companies or making them more productive.
"I don't think that we ought to get into the position where we say this is bad work," Clinton said. "This is good work."
LOL HE REALLY DOES HATE OBAMA DOESN'T HE?

He's saying what the G8/G20 want. America's resources are going to be stripped & sold to the highest bidder, but you & I won't get anything out of it.
Look @ south america for many examples.

Obama hates(or jealousy?) anyone who has a business career and may have actually helped to create jobs along the way.

And the dance of the useful idiots continues, the same ones that use Clinton to defend Mitt are the same ones that supported his impeachment. The useful idiots who where against Clinton before, are now for him in supporting Mitt.
Meh. I give anything Clinton says on the economy a big shrug. Dude gets WAY too much credit for following G.H.W.B, the second best president we've had post-JFK (Barack Obama being the first).
H.W. Bush took the lumps to put this nation on the right track and he got voted out of office for it. Clinton picked up the football on the one yard line and stumbled into the end zone to great applause. If Romney can somehow stumble his ass into the White House this November it will be much the same thing. Though the looting and pillaging at the end of his term might actually be even worse than Clinton's (selling Glass Steagal for a ****ing low income housing bill).
No one has the balls to admit it, but Clinton playing grab ass and not watching what he signed near the end of his term IS the primary reason for the current financial problems. In one fell swoop he signed a bill removing Glass Steagal so that banks and investment firms could be the same and bet both ways on high risk bets, then provided them with the game of choice, low income variable rate mortgages tied to federal subsidies.

Agree, although GWB getting us into an unfunded, unneccessary war in Iraq while at the same time cutting taxes certainly didn't help matters.

My take is Billy boy normally is a good democrat and will speak up when he can help other democrats. But....the primary with his wife, when Obama quite honestly was pretty dirty, is something Billy boy would like to see Obama pay for. So when he can he does little things like this.

LOL Nutmegs chart is a joke. He put all Obama's first yr of spending on Bush. His methodology is a joke. Also he doesn't factor in inflation. Besides this is a thread to discuss the nuances of Bill Clinton and if he is actually playing against Obama. It has nothing to do with spending, only politics. Your graph though is a joke.

Except we are talking about Bill Clinton. Put down the meth pipe and step away from the keyboard. My joke is that he wants to be President again by pulling the strings of Hilliary when she wins in 2016. It has nothing to do with Kenya, communism, lol. It's Billy Boy wanting back into the show.
Also I was talking about how it's interesting Bill Clinton didn't tow the dem line on Bain and Romney. Actually calling his work there stellar, and that by all means he is qualified to be President. Hell its almost like he wants to the the VP choice. It all stems from the primary where he wants revenge on the people who didn't support his wife.
It's no surprise that Bill Clinton doesn't support the congressman and senators that went against Hilliary. He usually comes in and supports the dem running against them.
We are talking politics, if you would like to join in that's fine, but at least formulate some better takes and opinions then our most recent attempts.

Yeah at least the put that part of his 2009 spending on Obama. Any chart the decides to put the first yr of a Presidents spending on the on the last Presidents term benefits Obama. It's sneaky trick and I'm not surprised people are falling for it.

Untrue. I asked why Bill Clinton's judgement on one topic is "celebrated" by ideologues such as yourself. Then when Bill Clinton's judgement on Scott Walker is presented - it's no longer apt - hence - Cognitive dissonance.
This is about me asking WHY in Presentation A judgement is 'apt', and in Presentation B, it's not.
Your reasoning/rationale is illustrating the cognitive dissonance. I am not attacking your beliefs, i'm asking WHY you choose to believe what you do when A & B...in this example the only difference is one is a D & R...but the "judgement" comes from the same person.

Nope your wrong. I merely pointed out that Clinton said things you would not expect that in many ways helped Romney. I never said because Clinton feels this way it proves I am right and Romney should be elected. I pointed it out saying it's strange that Bill Clinton, one of the most beloved dem presidents of me lifetime, came out and crapped all over Obamas campaign strategy.
So your methodology was wrong. All it does is point out an odd happening in the world of politics. Then I went on to give opinions in other posts on why i think Clinton is doing this, and what I think his grand plans are for his wife, and getting back into the White House.
So care to discuss the issue, or would you rather just talk psychological BS and play games?

And then obviously the reason it trumpeted, IMO celebrated not a good choice of words, is because this is politics and it's election time. Obviously if Clinton comes out and says naw Obama wrong i'm going with Romney on this one, we are going to notice that, and talk about it.
Are you saying this isn't an interesting development? IMO this part of the election among the most intriguing. Hilliary probably took SOS to stay relevant, and now that Obama struggling its time to sow the seeds of discontent through her hubby. He just happens to be really powerful. Meanwhile Billy Boy been cultivating helping dems that supported his wife. He wants as many friends waiting for them as he can.
He's probably the smartest politician since Reagan, no way he did this for no reason. I really admire Clinton for that. He is a pure master when it comes to politics. As opposed to someone like Bush JR who was a total amateur.

The only thing the reassigned was the stimulus. His first graph had that one Bush also and people were like what a joke. So he revised it at least adding the stimulus to Obama. Everything else though still Bush.
Also they counted Tarp on Bush, even though when it was paid back Obama spent it. LOL! Cmon Spider just give this one up. We get it you like Obama. lol.
