Denver and cornerback Omar Bolden, a fourth-round pick, have agreed to terms on a four-year contract. Bolden was the 101st overall pick of the draft after completing his college career at Arizona State.

Boldenís talent had some people talking about a much loftier position in the draft, but concerns about his knee pushed him to the final day. Bolden missed the entire 2011 season and most of the 2009 season because of knee injuries. That has led two surgeries on the knee and red flags from draft evaluators, although heís declared himself 100 percent at this point.

Bolden was good when he was healthy, though, and he also has experience returning kicks. Assuming the knee is sound, he should battle for a role in sub packages in a secondary that canít have enough cornerbacks.

Denver has six draft picks left to sign, including quarterback Brock Osweiler and defensive tackle Derek Wolfe.

Very strong chance at being the best player for us in this draft and by a large margin.

We should have signed more than we have. We have no first round pick and some teams have most of their rookies done.

excellent, though i expected us to sign Wolfe and Osweiler first based on Klis' article yesterday that we were close with those two but negotiating with them all.

I have read that Bolden has been very impressive! According to Fox, even Judie has been impressive if the article is accurate.

Klis is on the job.

Broncos negotiating with seven draft picks; near deals with Wolfe, Osweiler

The Broncos will soon join the parade of NFL teams who have been signing their draft picks.

There really is no mystery with the contracts the seven drafted Broncos will receive. With the NFL salary cap set at the same $120.375 million figure in 2011, the draft salary pool for each team in 2012 is virtually the same as 2011. The difference is a $15,000 increase in the minimum rookie salary from $375,000 to $390,000.

So give or take $15,000, a player can figure out the contract he will receive by looking at the player taken in his draft slot for last year.

For instance, the Broncosí top three draft picks in 2012:

~Defensive tackle Derek Wolfe was taken at No. 36 overall. Last yearís No. 36 pick, San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, received a four-year, $7.641 million contract with a $2.226 million signing bonus and $3.95 million fully guaranteed. Kaepernick had his first three years of salaries guaranteed. Wolfe will get either two or three year salaries guaranteed.

~Quarterback Brock Osweiler, selected at No. 57 overall, can expect a four-year contract worth around $3.04 million. Last yearís No. 57, Detroit running back Mikel Leshoure, received a $1.6 million guarantee that included $997,584 in signing bonus. Thatís a relatively inexpensive investment in a quarterback for the future.

~Running back Ronnie Hillman was drafted in the same No. 67 spot as the Broncos took middle linebacker Nate Irving last year. Irving received a four-year, $2.75 million deal. His signing bonus was $695,000.
