I think it's obvious that Derek Wolfe has something to do with this! Obviously!

From Denverbroncos.com story (http://www.denverbroncos.com/news-and-blogs/article-1/Nunnely-Retires/c8a5886d-ef6d-41a9-a317-fe69b654f0ec)

Yeah I'm searching through google trying to find an unemployed DL coach with ties to Rio or Fox.

Try looking or someone at another position where it would be a promotion ie defensive assistant, quality control, etc. And remember Fox isn't afraid to dip his ladle in some other coach's soup so-to-speak. He doesn't have to have ties with Fox.

They've already filled the position.

Jay Rodgers, formerly defensive assistant (http://blog.denverbroncos.com/denverbroncos/rodgers-takes-over-as-defensive-line-coach/)

That's a shame. Hope he enjoys a long, happy life with his family. Thanks for all he brought to the Broncos.

This had nothing to do with Wayne reaching 60, the typical retirement age. Probably was Elway.

He is a DL coach without a DL.

He got tired of ordering pizzas and driving Mr. Elway around town.

Wait, what thread is this??

I'm just glad he did it post draft so he didn't give away our draft strategy.

And it's not like he matters anyway. We're winning a title this year. I guess Wayne doesn't want that ring.

I'm thinking Wayne Nunley and Jack Del Rio have history.

So Nunnely is starting a new career outside of the USA? Is that what you're saying?

No it's evening, no one is around. I know you have had an interest in Mars for years now and was wondering if you had heard about the discovery of Water on Mars.

He probably looked at the DL roster and went "**** that, I'm going out on a high".

I'd recomend Ben McDaniels as a replacement although he has to chaparone a prom this weekend.

Somebody misplaced the fatboys on the roster. No spare tires allowed.

Of course no one ever just retires! I'm sure Elway and Fox hate him. That's the only logical thing.

He turned sixty, and there are a lot of people who retire at sixty. The last time he didn't like the coaching staff (San Diego) he asked for his release and it was granted and he signed with Denver. Is it more likely he retired, or poor management and bad coaching drained the life out of him and he has given up football altogether out of protest? Hmmmmm....tough call....

?? What is awkward about a coach that has been coaching for over 30 years wanting to retire.

The best part is some of you guys think the FO didn't know this was coming. Like they found out about it like we did!

just when every one is gearing up for a new season. Seems to me the natural time to retire is at the end of a season not the beginning of one.
