I'm pretty inexperienced with the OM, and when I do come over, I try to maintain a level of respect between our teams unlike the internet hack "writer" who's name I'll not speak.

I do notice there has been a little pre-season smacking going on already and rightfully so, both teams are improving on paper this offseason. This got me thinking about some of my memories between the two teams. My stepdad is a Bronco fan. We traditionally have a bottle of crown on the line when the two teams meet up.

But let me hear about yours; favorite games, favorite plays, favorite pre/post game smack between you and a Chiefs fan (between the boards or in real life).

Without a doubt, Montana vs. Elway at Mile High.

Also high on my list:

Dante Hall's punt return in 2003
Stoyanovich's 54 yarder to win in 1997
And anytime DT was planting Smellway

CP's 5 TD's and a Championship Belt

"Belee dat!"

My favorites:

The brutal playoff game in which the Donks went in to KC and stomped the Chiefs. Their fans can have Stoyanovich's (sp?) field goal from earlier that season. Punking the chiefs in KC in one of their few playoff games is too sweet.

The game in Denver in '92. Chiefs are up 19-6 with 5 minutes to play only to get sonned once again by the great John Elway.

Another one that occurred in KC was I believe in '90. I'm not clear on the year. Chiefs fan will be. The Chiefs were of course winning, only to be crushed late when Elway threw a game winning touchdown pass while at least five yards past the line of scrimmage. If it helps nail down the year...they still had that hideous turf.

Tebow's two completion victory is fun too.

Honorable mention to the MNF game in which Shannon Sharpe prolapsed Derrick Thomas' anus. Watching Bubby Brister deal all over those jokers was hilarious. It's not an all time great though, as the Chiefs heeled as soon as the Donks swaggered off the plane. The actual game wasn't really interesting...as KC wasn't competitive.

Denver Wins With Bubby-Ball! Broncos Beat The Kansas City Chiefs Behind Quarterback Bubby Brister To Stay Undefeated : Denver 30, Kansas City 7

Dave Goldberg Associated Press

John Elway Bubby Brister? Who cares? Whoever plays quarterback for the Denver Broncos, they look like they're on the way to an unbeaten season.

The 36-year-old Brister, reborn as Elway's backup, ran 38 yards for a touchdown on the first series, then Terrell Davis went 41 yards for a score as the Broncos jumped to a quick lead and went on to a 30-7 win over Kansas City on Monday night.

The victory made the Broncos the first 10-0 team in the NFL since the 1991 Washington Redskins and put them on track for a Dec. 21 confrontation in Miami with the Dolphins, who in 1972 were the last NFL team to go unbeaten.

If we do what were supposed to do and we don't have any major injuries, I don't see why we can't do it,'' Brister said of the possibility of a perfect season.

Brister, now 4-0 as a starter this year, finished 13 of 23 for 180 yards, and Davis, who leads the NFL in rushing, carried 18 times for 111 yards. Brister added 53 more on five carries as Denver ran for 211 yards.

The Broncos' defense, meanwhile, held the Chiefs to 31 yards on the ground.

"I don't feel like a backup,'' said Brister, who had 71 starts for Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and the Jets in 10 seasons before sitting out 1996 and joining the Broncos last year.

"I've always felt like a starter, but there's only one of them and I've had guys like Boomer Esiason and John Elway ahead of me.''

It was the fifth straight loss for Kansas City (4-6), which looked before the season like the most dangerous threat to the Broncos in both the AFC West and AFC as a whole. But the Chiefs, who had never had a four-game losing streak in Marty Schottenheimer's 10 seasons as coach, looked like a dispirited bunch against the Broncos, who now have outscored opponents 114-13 in first quarters this season.

It took just 2:42 for Denver to take a 7-0 lead on a bootleg around right end by Brister, who made his fourth start in place of Elway, who is nursing pulled rib muscles. Brister was almost untouched after his fake to Davis pulled the entire Kansas City defense to the opposite side of the field.

The next score was even quicker - a 79-yard drive that took only three plays and was capped by the burst by Davis. He was tripped up 10 yards downfield , regained his balance and continued on into the end zone. That was the game.

The Chiefs cut it to 14-7 on an 87-yard drive that consumed almost eight minutes of the second quarter, leading to a 3-yard touchdown pass to Kimble Anders from Rich Gannon, filling in for the benched Elvis Grbac.

But Jason Elam added 42- and 46-yard field goals before the half and a 35-yarder in the third quarter. Things officially ended with 7:36 left in the game when Gannon, who finished 26 of 39 for 224 yards, tripped and fell at the 20 on a fourth down at the Denver 10.

"We ran 19 times for 31 yards and we wanted to run 35 times for 200 yards,'' Gannon said. "We have too much talent in the locker room to be playing the way we are. The mistakes and the penalties are killing us. We're not playing very good football.''

How I miss Atwater!

It was sad watching him come back to Denver in a Jets uniform. Should have not went down that way. Same game TD blew his knee out.

To be fair Atwater was completely done when the Donks let him go.

I feel about as much need to prove my fan credentials to a retard like you as I do to eat razor blades and drink battery acid. You will believe what you want to believe, but I've made many posts regarding past players and events in Broncos history, on of which is in this very thread in fact.

To me the only true losers on this board are the dip****s who feel the need to constantly accuse others of not being true fans just because they don't agree with them. (And all the Charger, Chief, and Raider fans.)

Without a doubt, Montana vs. Elway at Mile High.

Also high on my list:

Dante Hall's punt return in 2003
Stoyanovich's 54 yarder to win in 1997
And anytime DT was planting Smellway

10 blocks in the back on the Hall punt return. Didn't know if you were aware of it or not.

That game was the last i attended. My son and me were sitting right behind the north endzone. I remember Champ picked one off and returned it right in front of us for a TD, and it was a cold SOB when the sun went down. I think Plummer came in for Cutler for a series marching us down the field when Walker fell down on the route and the ball got picked off, fans started booing Plummer as he walked off the field. It was sad to see that happen since it was Walkers fault, if he catches that ball its probably a touchdown and we win that game and are in the playoffs. Oh well, but damn it was cold when the sun set behind the stadium.

Most of the time, Chief fans at Arrowhead have been pretty cool. Last year, for some reason they were mainly assholes tho. Talked **** on Tebow all game long, then cried when they lost. There had to be at least half a dozen Chief fans that flipped me off after that game.

Let me hear about your favorite games, favorite plays, favorite pre/post game smack between you and a Chiefs fan (between the boards or in real life).

Nothing compares to the '97 playoff win at Narrowhead. That Broncos team was up against it every week, but managed to kick in every door.

We all know that dump you call a stadium is made out of some kind of Bronco kryptonite, as usual we lost there a few weeks earlier, for all intents lost the division and home-field advantage when Lowery kicked a 50+ yarder at the gun. Might've been Stoyanovich actually. Or Stenerud, whatever.

But the playoff game, that was such redemption ... chefs' last-gasp drive was surreal. I think it was Ty Braxton who batted down the last pass, then kind of looked around like everybody else, we won?

I do notice there has been a little pre-season smacking going on already and rightfully so, both teams are improving on paper this offseason. This got me thinking about some of my memories between the two teams. My stepdad is a Bronco fan. We traditionally have a bottle of crown on the line when the two teams meet up.

Be afraid

My favorite Chief's memory was 2003 @ Mile High. You guys were up like 14-7 at half, but Portis just let loose the second half and almost broke the single game rushing record and we won that game like 49-21.

This was Eddie Kennison's first game back in Denver, and this game was after Kennison guaranteed the Chiefs would win. Remember, "We gon' put some on dey azz. Buh-lee dat!" ?
