Just listened to the Suzy "And The Banshees" Kolber interview with Brock "Landers" Osweiler.

Someone needs to tell this guy to stop saying "...you know..." at the beginning of every freaking sentence or clause!

"You know, I'm really looking forward, you know, to working you know with you know Mr. Elway and you know Coach Fox. You know?"

No, I don't freakin' know!

I can already imagine him in the huddle of a big game:

Brock Landers: "OK, DT: you know, you need to run deep, you know? And I'll, you know, throw to you. You know?"

DT: "Whatever you say, Brock."

Let's hope he isn't the Peyton Hillis of QB's.

Did Hillis say "You know" a lot? Or was it his "Good Old Boy" drawl that bothered people?

I thought he seemed more natural and likeable than the Gruden QB school thing where he sounded like he was auditioning for the Real World.

And he wasn't this bad:

No, it was Hillis's "coach, what do I do again, oh yeah, run that way with this funny looking ball" that bothered me. The guy is a bonehead.

Oh, this is a legitimate thread?

Didn't you guys know he only says "you know" a lot because Jack Elway says "you know" a lot?

Hey, don't knock the bonehead approach. It worked for Forrest Gump.

Gump didn't also give up on his team, failed to play because of a headache or a bruised pinky, because he was not happy with a contract and hoping for a big extension, and then ends up on another team as a backup signing a one year deal. Yeah, he's a genius.

And what kind of drugs does it look like he sells? That's what I want to know...

Old-timers will back me up on this. The most prolific rookie "you-knower" in Broncos history (and perhaps NFL history) was a young kid named Tom Jackson. At least three "you knows" in every sentence he spoke.

He turned out okay as a player and, believe it or not, even got a network job.

This vid kinda made me thinking. Would Forrest Gump be drafted today?
I'd draft him as a sixth rounder, killer "special" teamer with mad return skills.

I dont care how he talks as long as he can become the future QB of our franchise.

Now that you mention it, I *do* remember the young Tom Jackson as a prolific "you-knower". My Dad used to fine me 5 cents from my allowance if I said "You know".

After Tom Jackson arrived on the scene in Denver, he'd say: "That just cost you 5 cents. You don't want to sound like Tom Jackson, do you?"

Thanks for memories! :approve:

We already had our QBOTF..and the present. His name was Tim Tebow.

They were talking about Osweiler's connections on ESPN...

The guy learned a ton under Jake Plummer. Probably why he has such a similar style.

In the book Gump is like 6'8, 350 lbs.

Devin Hester couldn't carry Gump's jock when it came to returns.....

If you want a guy that says , "You know" a lot, find some clips of Tim Salmon of the Angels. Maybe he fixed it because he is on the pre or post game Angels show currently.

Given the amount of interviews he had to do with repeat questions, I think he fared well. We'll see how he looks on the field. I'm optimistic. One of JE's best qualities was always his capacity to gel with the right folks. Let's hope he's right on this one.

Top five bronco in my book. I loved watching Tom Jackson as a kid. Was one of my favorites.
