Rams go with Givens. Darn.

ColoradoBuff
04-28-2012, 09:07 AM
we pick 4th and 6th correct?

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:08 AM
WR clearly the best value to start the 4th, I'm just not sure we go that route. We're relatively deep already. I don't think having Givens go hurts us too much.

ColoradoBuff
04-28-2012, 09:08 AM
Who you looking at for us in the 4th Req?

Lets see who Miami traded up for....this is probably another WR.

ColoradoBuff

I wouldn't mind seeing that DT from Washington and OLB manning from nc state

ColoradoBuff
04-28-2012, 09:10 AM
god damn you EFX.....there goes Miller to the Dolphins

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:10 AM
I think we'll go CB and OLB with these two picks. I would love for us to take another DT, but I just don't think we'll carry 5 DTs this year, not with Ayers sliding inside for the nickel.

Dolphins take Miller...maybe they will never pass the ball again. That's three decent RBs and zero decent WRs.

Dedhed
04-28-2012, 09:10 AM
I want Brandon Boykins, CB, Georgia.

trade R. Bush ??

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:11 AM

Doubt we take another speed back, we just traded up to get Hillman in the 3rd. If we go another RB, it'll probably be a hammer.

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:11 AM
I want Brandon Boykins, CB, Georgia.

Boykin would be interesting. Coryell Judie and Ron Brooks as well.

I don't know much about Miller but we need the power guy and I don't think he was a fit for that.

ColoradoBuff
04-28-2012, 09:12 AM
wonder who Miami thought was gonna pick Miller to make them trade up? Denver? Houston?

ColoradoBuff
04-28-2012, 09:12 AM

Here we go

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:14 AM
Hmmm....we might have been interested in Gradkowski if we're going for interior O-line depth at OC/OG. I'd like to see competition for Walton, but EFX apparently love him.

ColoradoBuff
04-28-2012, 09:14 AM
I don't know much about Miller but we need the power guy and I don't think he was a fit for that.

5-10 215 with 4.3 speed. I think he would have been great in Denver with a few years to learn under McGahee.

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:14 AM
Polk?

Polk is a good one, Turbin as well.

DeusExManning

Mat'hir Uth Gan
04-28-2012, 09:15 AM
We are not going to get the Washington DT he is a 3-4 nose

Most likely, but he is vastly similar to Terrance Knighton in Jacksonville, and that worked out well for Del Rio.

That One Guy

I was just thinking of the possibilities of what you could teach it. Train it to get a beer on command of "That One Guy is the greatest!" or "I'll give you $100 for a beer" or "Bring me a beer and you can have my lunch".

It'd be entertaining to have a bbq and tell make everyone else say whatever I want to see the dog get them a beer.

5-10 215 with 4.3 speed. I think he would have been great in Denver with a few years to learn under McGahee.

do we make prospective draftees take physicals before the draft or is that verboten?

I'm an ASU Alum and live in Phoenix. Bolden would have been a top 20 pick if he had played last year. If he had gone pro after his junior year which he considered he would have been a second round pick. He actually was recovered from the knee injury at the end of last season around November but decided not to come back so he would be 100% for this season.

High risk/reward pick. If he is back in form he is a first round talent. If he doesn't recover then we wasted a fourth round pick

Bolden is a really good pick. He's got beastly talent and ACLs aren't the career killer they used to be. At a relatively low impact position like CB he's more than worth the risk. He might be our #2 CB by the end of 2012.

Omar being interviewed right now on 104.3...

says he is excited to be a Broncos and ready to get to work and compete. was thinking of coming out last year but decided to come back for his senior season and it didn't work out because he got hurt. even though hurt, he was still a captain last year. attended every practice and every meeting. says he loves the game and couldn't bear not to be around the team. says he had a pretty good idea that the Broncos could take him, even though he didn't talk with the team. he did not attend the Elway/Osweiler workout. is excited to be mentored by Champ. says it's a dream to be in the same meeting room with Champ.

Would like to nab Turbin, another DT and a guard or WR in the last three ... On Turbin though we might not go with another RB in the draft and just pick up a decent guy who drops to UDFA sicne Fannin is healthy this year and chomping at the bit.

McGahee, Hillman and Fannin could be a potent backfield rotation. And Fannin can take over the thumper role from McGahee when he slows down.

Looks like we got pretty good value with these two picks. Bolden probably goes on day one sans the knee, so there's high risk/high reward there. Blake gives us OL depth, and maybe he can push Walton. I'd like a WR in the 5th if there is a decent one still available. We could use a coverage linebacker, too, but the pickings are slim there at this point. I really wish we had gotten David or Spence instead of Osweiler.

two great things about the Blake pick. one he's used to a fast tempo offense and is great at shotgun snaps. two, he's big, nasty and adds girth to the OL either at C or G. and if Kuper isn't ready to go we got nice depth.

I love this draft! Wolfe is going to get penetration, Brock will learn for a few years behind Manning, Hillman WILL explode (not getting enough credit and has low miles), Bolden could be our starter in 2013 and Blake will push Walton or Beadles. Keep it going!

We've hit on every position of need so far. QB is debatable in the 2nd round but ELway did a lot of due diligence on Osweiler and I trust Elway in this matter.

OSweiler is teh perfect guy to learn a few more years behind Peyton Freakin Manning and with Elways mentorship too and no pressure to start too soon the guy could become a true stud for us for years after the Manning era. If so that second rounder now will be looking very good.

With Blake he also is the perfect guy to fill our OL needs. Equally able to play both guard positions and a starting caliber Center with good size. Wont get pushed around as easily as JD.

Great pick for us.

Hillman could be a great compliment for MCgahee and Fannin and provide that homerun hitter for Manning and on third downs that will pull defenses up in the box.

We;ve got some good guys for our team needs for sure!

And Bolden when healthy is a starting corner for us for years!

What are the thoughts about Travis Lewis from OU? He's a good player, his senior year was a bit underwhelming as he played through a toe injury the whole year.

I see him as good lb depth, potental nickel backer, good st contributor, and potential wlb starter.

Bolden is a really good pick. He's got beastly talent and ACLs aren't the career killer they used to be. At a relatively low impact position like CB he's more than worth the risk. He might be our #2 CB by the end of 2012.
